Sitting at the dinner table with her family and Jack's family was slightly weird for Joelle. She hadn't had a family meal like this since she was around fifteen years old.

"Joelle, tell us about your music career," Kevin spoke in between mouthfuls of his food that Phil and Marie had cooked together.

"It's everything I dreamed it would be and more." The small girl smiled as she thought about how her dreams came true.

"Any exciting performances coming up?" Karen joined in on the conversation, wondering about her hopeful future daughter in law's career.

"I've been asked to perform at the VMA's next month so I'm excited about that." It was a massive opportunity for Joelle and her music career. Jack was surprised, turning to look at the girl who was sitting next to him. He didn't know when she found out about the performance and he hoped that he would always be the first person she told these things to.

"When did you find out?" The Brummie boy questioned, trying to hide the hurt in his voice.

"My manager text me right before dinner. I was going to tell you afterwards." Joelle could read Jack like a book. She knew that he was hurt because he wasn't the first one to find out.

"That's amazing, honey! When is it?" Phil asked his daughter with excitement.

The rest of dinner was spent talking about Joelle's plans for her music and Jack's upcoming games. It must have been boring for Jack's siblings to hear all about their brother's success but the two pairs of parents were just excited about their kids being in good terms once again.

"Hey," Joelle and Jack were on dish duty whilst the rest of their families picked a film to watch.

"Jack, you've been quiet the whole of dinner." Joelle tried desperately to get her friend's attention. He wasn't usually quiet with her and she was confused.

"Tell me, what's going on?" The small girl stopped washing dishes and turned to look at Jack, seeing that he looked sad.

"What happens when you become so famous that you're travelling all the time? What happens when you're always walking red carpets and there's million of guys chasing after you?" Jack questioned, finally turning to look at the girl beside him. He was worried. He trusted Joelle, he really did but he didn't trust other people and he wondered if one day, Joelle would realise that he wasn't good enough for her. Why would she date him when she could date someone like Shawn Mendes?

"Oh Jack," a sigh left her mouth as she looked up at his face, seeing the sadness behind his eyes and the frown pulling at his lips.

"I had the same thoughts before you left for Villa. You're the only one I want and it's been that way for at least the past six years, nothing is going to change now. I love you, remember?" Joelle didn't realise that Jack had insecurities. He was always so good at putting up a front but now that he was telling her what was on his mind, Joelle felt bad. She felt bad for not noticing.

"God, I love you." Jack broke out in a smile, immediately engulfing the smaller girl in his muscular arms.

"Please Jack, you don't ever have to hide your feelings with me." The curly haired girl reassured her best friend, cupping his face with her hands as she did so.

"Be my girlfriend. Again." The proposal was sudden in the way that he asked but it had also been a long time coming.

"Do you really need to ask me that?" The shorter girl teased, rolling her eyes with a big smile on her face.

"So that's a yes?" Jack asked slowly, wanting to make sure that what he was hearing was correct.

"I didn't think I would have to spell it out for you. Yes!" The new couple laughed before meeting in the middle for a short and sweet kiss.

"Can we please finish the dishes now?" Joelle pleaded, wishing to get the chore over and done with.

"You just want to go out and buy condoms to try out that stupid Tik Tok idea." Her new boyfriend rolled his eyes as he laughed at how weird his girlfriend was.

"Hey! It's not stupid," the brunette girl retaliated, splashing him with some of the soap that was leftover in the sink.

"It's funny," Joelle mumbled and Jack shook his head at her before wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her closer once he had dried the last dish.

"Okay, okay, I believe you. We'll do it." The Brummie boy kissed the top of her head and smiled down at her.

The couple walked through to the living room to inform their parents that they were going to the shops. They didn't need permission since they were adults but it was nice for them to let them know.

"We're just popping out quickly." Jack informed the two families that were sitting down and watching a film in the Jarrett living room.

"Oh, before we go, do any of you have a condom?" Joelle's question was completely innocent and had nothing to do with what condoms were actually used for but they didn't know that and that's what confused the families.

"Joelle!" Jack scolded his girlfriend, seeing how shocked their parents and his siblings were.

"They need more context than that," the taller boy scolded his girlfriend. He found her innocence cute but he cursed it sometimes.

"Joelle wants a condom to do something that she saw on Tik Tok. It's nothing to do with sex." Jack tried his best to clear up the confusion but he wasn't sure that their families were buying it.

"I can't tell if I'm relieved or disappointed that you two aren't having sex." Marie spoke after Jack's youngest sister informed everyone that she too had seen the video.

"Just go, even if we did have a condom, we wouldn't be telling you guys because it's weird." Phil laughed at his daughter, wanting them to leave so that he could get back to his film.

The couple got what they wanted. They bought the condoms from the closest shop, both of them going in with their hoods up and their sunglasses on so that the media didn't recognise them.

When they went home, they filled a few condoms up with water and tried their best to execute what they saw from the video but every attempt failed.

"I'm sorry you didn't get your condom fountain, weirdo." Jack laughed as he lay down on the tree house couch with his girlfriend. Her clothes had gotten wet from the condoms so she was now dressed in Jack's oversized t-shirt.

"I don't care because we had fun. The same kind of fun that we had when we were kids." Joelle smiled, running her hands up and down Jack's toned chest. He was more filled out and muscular than when they were younger and Joelle liked it. His body wasn't important to her because she fell in love with Jack's personality, his looks were a bonus for her.

"I love you, so much." Jack smiled at his girlfriend, kissing her forehead as he did so.

"I love you too." Joelle was in her element when she was with Jack and it would be near impossible for anything to change that.
