"I can't believe you struck a deal... with Professor Ozpin of all people," Jack exclaimed as I leaned into the corner of the gondola, trying to be discreet, headed towards Beacon.
"He's a smooth talker," I said laughing in the corner while trying to enjoy the view at the same time, "Plus it was a hell of a deal,"
"What did you ask for?" he asked fidgeting with the luggage cart chock full of his tools and gear that I couldn't get him to leave behind.
"I told him that I was keeping my arsenal and hat and that I'd do things my way," I lied seamlessly, the actual part of my deal was that Jack would come with me, but if I would've told him that he wouldn't come
"He agreed to that?" He asked incredulously
I shrugged "As long as I don't kill students, and as long as I don't break any laws while attending Beacon I'm fine. Speaking of which, I'm going to need a weaker bullet so I can still fight if needed."
Jack nodded and pulled a large armored case off the rack and opened it revealing a bullet with a rubber tip
"Fortunately I made these then," He said handing me enough to fill up my gunbelt, plus twelve loose bullets.
"Why did you make these?" I asked drawing a revolver starting to load slowly, one bullet at a time.
"I know you don't enjoy killing guards to I made these to immobilize, I thought you might want to put three strings of them in your jacket, just in case." He explained
"It's not a bad idea, but what about aura's?" I asked just finishing the fourth bullet on a cylinder.
"Did you know that an aura have a specific chemical signature, The tip of the bullet will shatter on an aura releasing a small charge inside to make a bigger boom," He stated as I finished loading a revolver and putting it back in its holster.
"So non lethal rounds, that have an explosive in them?" I started pulling out my other revolver to swap it over. "Are you sure that's safe?"
"Are you doubting my creations, Crimson?" Jack asked indignantly.
I finished loading my other revolver, thinking quietly. Jack has many good qualities, one of them is not receiving criticism. Which is why I brought him here, he has been around criminals and idiots to much, some prodigy hunters, huntresses, and professors who can help him in the areas I can't.
"Nope, just have to check," I said holstering my revolver in time to see a blonde kid run at me, I prepared for an attack as he projectile vomited all over my boots.
"What. The. Actual. Fuck," I said in complete and utter disbelief. Jack looked at me in equal disbelief, and I could here several giggles and a couple of pity gasps. The blonde kid looked at me in horror.
"I am so so sorry," He said slowly "I just get so motion sick-"
I held my hand up as the scent of his vomit invaded my nostrils, it will smell like this for hours. I looked around and saw everyone staring at me, including a certain blonde bombshell I was trying to stay out of sight of, the whole ride. She was staring at me with a curious glance.
"Don't worry about it," I said strained for patience, listening to the heartbeats on the gondala making sure no one else approached us.
"I insist that you send me the bill," He said looking like he was about to try and wipe it off with his hands as the gondala lurched to a stop and he clutched his stomach again and ran towards the exit making it to Firecracker and the young girl who helped arrest me, before vomiting again on her boots. I took the opportunity to quickly tell Jack I'd see him at the introduction assembly and slip of the gondala virtually undetected.
