I stood on a pad next to the boy who vomited on my shoes as Ozpin gave us a quick instruction on the task ahead. We were to navigate the forest to retrieve some relics and bring them back, the first person that we see was to be our teammate. Jack wasn't a part of this exam as he already is a part of the school. The platforms began to launch as the boy next to me got nervous as he didn't know what a landing strategy was, fucking amateur. He was launched and I prepared myself, my platform didn't spring.

"I think mines broke," I said looking at Ozpin.

"No, it's actually not," Ozpin said walking over to me "I'm afraid that you will not be on a team,"

"Fine by me," I shrugged "As they say 'there is no I in team' therefore I am not on your team,"

"Cute, your position here is not only a student but a let's say student teacher as well, I want you to help look after them and in time they will help look after you," He explained "You are already way more experienced than some of our teachers here in the field, however until you can be trusted I don't want you spending too much time with one team in fear as you might corrupt them,"

"I have no interest in your students Ozpin," I said shortly "Just what you promised me," 

"Then, behave and uphold your end of the bargain," He said "I know you stole part of the Schnee girls luggage,"

"It was just a bit of fun, I doubt she'll miss it," I said casually 

"Where is it?" He asked a spark of anger in his eyes 

"Sold it," I said evenly

"Well then you owe the young woman an apology and recompense," He said turning away from me. "You need to think about what you want here, profit or a purpose," 

I looked at him "What's that supposed to mea-" I started as my platform launched me towards the forest. I hurled through the air towards the forest, unfortunately back first so I used my weight to swing me around and saw an upcoming tree to my left with a convenient branch that I grabbed onto to swing myself forward and slow my descent, I quickly let go as to not dislocate my shoulder from the sudden force like a dumbass(If anyone gets that reference I love you). I then grabbed another branch, then another, then another, until I slowed enough to land on the ground with a roll.

"That fuckin bitch," I said thinking about that green-haired prick. I focused my senses around me to get a general awareness of my surroundings. I could hear students fighting, Grimm running around, and a decent amount of gunfire through the forest to my left. I plotted a path through the trees and started parkouring through it until I perched above a struggling student I heard called Ren, as a King Taijitu tried to constrict him. I sat on my perch to watch the show, drawing a revolver just in case. I watched as Ren activated his aura and slipped out of the giant snake. I admired his handiwork as he dispatched the Grimm using his aura in a way I've never seen before, I've focused my aura to help absorb an impact from a leap, but never have I seen it used in an offensive manner. Must be because of the company I keep. I holstered my revolver, as I saw Ren get the fight under control and dispatch of the Snake's other head. I moved to stand on my branch as I saw the student I heard called Nora emerge from her perch. Teaming up with her longtime friend from what I gather. They moved away from the corpse of a large Ursa pack. I'm confident that they can handle it so I moved on to hop around the trees to find a particular student. I have a job to do if I want to stay here. I stretched out my senses and found several heartbeats around me, and when I focused on each of them I could hear the voices attached to them until I heard a particularly bitchy voice.

I hopped on a perch to find the particularly pale heiress storming through the woods with the small silvered eyed girl. I listened to their heartbeats to find them both frustrated and angry.
