Loving Niam (BOYXBOY) (COMPLETED)

Part 32: Niall's POV

 I caught Liam just as he stumbled. My breath hitched as he came crashing into my arms and as I gripped him, I swear to god, my heartbeat just accelerated. It was a bit crazy seeing the way I was reacting to this boy even though I have never been really been attracted to boys before.

I just smiled at him and he stood up straight, face all red. I stuffed my hands into my pocket, unsure of how to proceed further. Liam just kept adjusting his beanie.

Then I heard Zayn – "If you two do not get a move on, then I am going to just ask them to start rehearsals earlier". This prompted Liam who said "NO". Oddly, this prompted me too and I quickly grabbed Liam's hand, dragging him away mumbling that I would bring him back by 1pm. The boys started laughing whilst I took Liam away. We slipped into a nice pace as we headed towards Coffee mate, this cute quiet café just 2 doors down. I still held onto Liam's hand, but he had clasped mine firmly too. I did not dare look at him and just kept my eyes on the street in front.

We finally reached the café and were about to enter it. Then, WTF, seriously, my life could not just see a happy ending. Perry was walking up to the same café too, busy on the phone. I prayed to the lord that he will not spot us but nope, no happy ending remember. Perry quickly ended his call and hastily walked up to us.

"Hey guys, what a surprise seeing you here!" He looked down, saw our clasped hands and a slight frown took over his face though he was so quick to rearrange it that I honestly thought I saw wrong. I could feel Liam stepping back a bit and loosening the grip on our hands, but I held on firmly. I turned to look at Liam and smiled at him. Liam tried to smile back but it did not quite reach his eyes.

I was secretly getting pissed that Perry was ruining this for me. "Yes Perry, just for a quick drink. We get going then!" I said and walked off only to be stopped by Perry.

"Aww, come on, what's the rush? I did not know you guys were seeing each other. I thought you were single and straight Niall? Did not realize you swung the other way? And come on, Niall baby, you had to pick Liam? I know he is a pop star and all but he is used goods. You do not have to date him to bed him. I am sure he come easy. He did so for me".

That did it. Liam let go of my hand and when I saw him, his eyes were brimming and his left hand was all crunched, like he was ready for a fight. But Liam did not know better. Before he could even think of anything, my hand had flown to Perry's face, punching him squarely in his nose. He fell back from the impact and landed on his left arm. I could feel Liam swivelling fast to see me but I was on a roll.

I stepped forward to Perry and said, "Do not even think about speaking in that manner to him ever again. And do not, do not ever speak to me about him like that again.". I did it in my lowest voice possible. Now Liam may not know how angry I was but Perry knew and he gulped. He just stood up and walked away. I turned to Liam and just kissed him on his lips. I just wanted to make sure he was comforted and he knew I was here for him.

Liam gasped a bit by my action and wanted to pull away, but I held on. I kissed him a bit more and gently pulled away. " I want you to know that I am doing this because I care about you way too much to just be calm and be the bigger person here about this.".

I looked up to see a Liam, eyes full of unshed tears and a quivering smile. Boy, was I so gone for him.
