The sun has rised. The morning has begun. Everyone is enjoying the beautiful. Everyone except Lindir. Lindir is cleaning up the beach after the party yesterday. It's the first time he has experienced a real Avarian party and now it's truly the biggest mess he has ever seen. Lindir is now sweeping the sand. Yes sand, that's worse than a floor. And then the whole beach has to be clean. How does the Queen expect me to do that?! Well, welcome to my life. I bet that if I would write a book over it, I would be a millionaire after. So why don't I just do that? I'm wondering myself too much during this work. That can't be good...Lord Elrond is walking down the beach on this beautiful morning. He sees Lindir cleaning up. Oh my, what he all not does in one day... He stops walking and watches Lindir cleaning.
"It's boring today..." Elrohir says and sighs. "On such a beautiful morning there has to be something we could do, right? Like scaring Lindir?" Elladan suggests. Elrohir gives him a questioningly glare. Then his twin points at Lindir who's cleaning the beach. "Ah....." Slowly and noiseless they approach Lindir from behind. When they're close enough Elladan jumps up and grabs Lindir's shoulders. "Got ya! Aah!" Lindir gets startled and jumps. Then he falls over the couch now behind him. The twins burst into laughter. Lindir gives them a sad and still little frightened look.
Elrond then taps them both on their shoulders. "Well, if you don't have anything better to do than frighten Lindir then you might be able to help him." Help him? What is he talking about? I'm not going to clean the beach like Lindir! Thinks Elrohir. This is all Elladan's fault, he came up with this stupid plan!
Lindir has managed to get up, but now everything what he had just cleaned is a mess all over again. He sighs. If they keep walking around here, I will never be able to do my job. Sometimes I just get the feeling that people here don't appreciate my work anymore. "But Ada, that's Lindir's job! He is always doing this, he doesn't need no help!" And other times I realise it is not just sometimes.
"No discussions with me now! Now go help Lindir! Ugh!!" Elladan grabs a broom and starts sweeping while Elrohir is returning the fallen cushions on the couch again. Lindir smiles at Lord Elrond. "Thank you." He says quietly and then continues cleaning himself.
Elrond sits down in the sand against one of the couches and starts reading the book he has been holding the whole time.
And already five minutes later he is interrupted again. "I'm done with this!" Elrohir exclaims and he throws the broom back to the ground and walks away before his father could react in some way and tell him to get back to work. Elladan follows him.Elrond sighs and gets up. He picks up the broom Elrohir has thrown against the ground and starts cleaning. Lindir smiles. At least there is one person who appreciates my work.
Thranduil wanders through the halls of the palace. He is bored. Lusa is out of town for a day for a council at Aquayir, the blue lobster realm next to us in the ocean. He has never been there before. He doesn't want to neither, he hates water. He at least has given her such a good kiss she won't be forgetting him anymore until tonight. First Thranduil had already tried to convince his son Legolas to spend some quality time together. Well, this is how it went...
Thranduil walks up to Legolas' room and knockes on the door. "Come in!" He opens the door and walks into the room. Legolas is for the first time actually spending more time on his hair. Oh, I'm so proud! Thinks Thranduil. "Hey Ada, what is it? Well, we haven't been spending much time together anymore like we did before so... That's because you're only spending time with Lusa since you're together. Don't interrupt me. Anyway, I thought that maybe today we could finally spend some quality time together." Legolas stops brushing his hair to face his father and raises his eyebrow. "Quality time? Yes. With you? Yes. Uh... no." He lays down the brush and walks out of the room.
