The bell rings. It alerted everyone that it's time for breakfast which caused the sounds of mumbled hurried steps and chatter coming from the hallway right outside our room. Ugh, is it morning already? How loud do those savages have to be? I rustle around my blanket just to get more time with my warm and comfortable bed. Just then, I take a peek outside of my blanket and immediately squinting my eyes due to the bright piercing sunlight outside my window.

A familiar figure then blocks my view, I already knew who it was so I quickly hid under my blanket. I would really like to have a quiet start today, but knowing her? I can already hear her sighing and picturing that lousy frustrated face as usual. She tried to tug my blanket off me but I contested my strength against hers.

"I'll be down soon... so... just give me a... couple of minutes..."

After a short tug of war battle for my damn blanket, I ended up losing.

"Pfft, you're lucky I just woke up, Athena. I would have sent you flying over my bed had I put some effort in."

"C'mon, your food's gonna be ice cold if you keep making excuses, you snail."

I hate it when she's right. Besides, I wouldn't want to get an earful from Sister Merri again. Our little tug of war ended. My excuse is that I just woke up. Alright, time to get up. It's a long way towards the dining room, I start to wonder what day is it today? What kind of food are we getting for breakfast this time? Cereal? Sandwiches? I do get picky of what I eat in the morning from time to time. I hate tomatoes, anything with tomatoes I just don't like. I made my bed as much as I could but I gave up halfway and just left it as it is. I make my way outside of my bed and close the door.

-------------------------------------------------------

We went through the corridor towards the other room where, Nereus, our other friend's room is located, room 28, just a few doors where my room is. I knocked on the door and after a few seconds, there was no reply. Hm, he usually comes by quickly. I opened the door with ease to find out that he had already gone. The room was really tidy.

"That's odd, he usually waits for me to go with him down the dining hall... Wait. You don't think he-"

"What? Nooo, I highly doubt it. He's probably down by the dining hall already helping Sister Merri out, Let's go! Go! Go!"

"Alright alright, no need to push me."

We head towards the stairs to get from the first floor to the ground floor, where the dining hall is located. As we reached the ground floor we saw more kids run past to our left which is the direction of the hall. We go past the entrance door looking at the paintings that the children had made that's hanging on the walls and looking through the windows and seeing how bright and beautiful it is outside.

Finally I arrived at the dining hall with Athena. Looking around, Nereus is still nowhere to be seen, despite how big this hall is. This room alone can be a room for our physical exercises. It's very spacy. Most of the kids here have already sat down on their chairs and have the long dining tables set in rows having their plates with a bowl on top. I noticed Johan and Carla helping out to distribute the plates and push the food cart with the sisters. I caught a whiff of what today's menu will be and based on my observation with the bowls I think we'll be getting porridge today. Of course, there's our spot. At the end of the hallway near the windows showing a nice view of the yard. The kids know the consequences should they pinch our spot. I then get nudged by Athena.

"C'mon Apollo, daydreaming again? How slow can you be." shaking her head mockingly.

"C'mooon Appooollooo." I mimic her to make an impression of how stupid she sounds as I pinch both of her cheeks but she pinches mine in return resulting in a playfight, ow! Sheesh, she pinches really hard!
