Ch 12: A Sudden Ambush!

Raven's POV:

After the dinner, we went out of the restaurant. "Thank you so much," I said.    "Your face looks better after the dinner," he said looking towards me.  His emerald green eyes....there's something about them...something mysterious!   Ohh no, what am I thinking...   I looked away.

Wait...I think I felt some demonic presence....it's maybe somewhere near!  No, it can't be! I tried to shake off this feeling!      "Rachel!"  I suddenly heard Damian's voice.  "What?!" I replied.     "I called your name about five times, you still didn't respond. You were zoning out! Did something happen?" Damian said.   "Ohh, it's nothing. I'm sorry, but why were you calling me?"        "I was thinking of taking a short cut by going down the next alley. You don't need to be afraid of the dark, I am here."        "Not at all. I am not afraid of the dark."       "Tt. Look at you, acting all bold and brave."          What would you know about darkness, Damian. You have your own perfect life.

We already reached the alley. Something was eerie.   Suddenly, four men appeared out of nowhere. There faces were covered and they had weapons....very dangerous ones. Are they here to get me?  Before I could process anything more, Damian suddenly jumped up in front me and said, "Stay behind me."  Next thing I knew, he started fighting with those four men, alone.  He took out his own weapons suddenly. He hides weapons in his clothes?! He knows how to fight brutally?! I couldn't believe my eyes.

Suddenly a person appeared out of nowhere and started to approach me. His skin was red and not normal. This was the demonic presence I felt before. One of Trigon's minions took possession of a human body.  I took a quick glance at Damian and saw the four men crippled on the floor, almost dead!  I was too busy to be surprised. I have to deal with this minion. Suddenly Damian shouted, "Rachel, move back! I'm coming!"         "No, Damian, don't..."   Before I could say anything more, the minion used his dark magic and pushed Damian forcefully, slamming him on a wall nearby. Damian fell down, barely conscious!

I immediately ran towards Damian and created a shield around us. I have to use my powers now!  The minion's continuous attacks were blocked by the shield. I started to heal him. He got many injuries by fighting the four men. After quickly doing so, I healed his head injury and then placed my hand on the temples of his head and started removing his memories of this incident! I can't let him know anything about me. I left him unconscious after that.  I have to deal with the minion myself!

"You have to serve our Father, Sister. We shall rule Earth!" The minion spoke.  "Go back to where you came from," I started attacking him with my powers. He started attacking too!  I haven't used my powers for long. I need much effort to fight him! It'll take a while!    "Release our Lord, Raven! Your fight is futile. This is your destiny to let Trigon rule the world!"      "Not happening!"    And the fight went on for a while...

Damian's POV:

What is this I am seeing? It somewhat looks like a demon! A red giant demon! A terrifying image!  I felt my body was not moving. My body was feeling weak. I felt like I was trying to open my eyes. I couldn't open them much. Am I seeing a magical fight?!   A dark shadow in the form of a raven emerging from a girl! That girl is familiar.....  Do I hear someone speaking, "Give up, Raven! Your resistance is futile...."    I close my eyes again.... what is happening to me?.........

Raven's POV:

I finally defeated the minion. He escaped for now! Not using my powers for long weakened me a little. I collapsed to the ground! I did my best and crawled up to Damian. He was still lying unconscious! I feel guilty for making him face such a brutal trouble for me.
