HIGH SCHOOL- DAMIRAE

Ch 1: Nervous

Rachel's POV:

I was nervous and was fidgeting on the bed. Kori came into my room and sat beside me on my bed. She gave her concerned look and said, "There's nothing to be nervous about. It's just school life. Every one has to go through this. Just be comfortable and socialize as much as possible. Everything will be fine!" I tried to take in her words and relax myself as much as possible. She got up, patted my back and went to her room.

'This is for my good. I can't be a coward every time. I have to do this.'  With that thought I  went to my bed, but I wasn't asleep. I thought all about my escape from my father. All about my mother's death. All about the end of Azarathians and I was the cause for it. All about my purpose of birth. I was not created for the happiness of  having a baby but a means of  bringing destruction of the World. I was taught to and had to suppress all of my emotions. I was even taught how to not feel them. A human body with no soul. I shouldn't even call myself a human, a demon is all I am. A symbol of end of good things and destruction.

But I have to keep hoping. If there's any possibility of changing things, I'll find it out and do it.

I've been living with Kori since two months in a small, cosy home. I didn't tell her the truth about me yet. I'll tell her someday. Anyways, I have to tell her someday soon. I can't be hiding or runnin'. I don't know how she'll feel about it. She's a caring motherly figure. I know about her powers, her origin, troubles in her planet Tamaran and all that stuff. I know she has a boyfriend named 'Dick'. I didn't take much interest in her personal life, because if I do, she might take an interest in mine.     My thoughts wandered back to that day, she found me....

Flashback

"I can't do this anymore Father. I don't even want to call you that." I blurted out. I couldn't tolerate anymore. "You dare to disobey Pride! You cannot escape from Hell, unless I allow you to! None of your brothers couldn't." Trigon roared. "I'm not my brothers." With that I summoned all of my energy as much as I could and created a portal to Earth. He did not expect my powers to be so strong! As I stepped through the portal, he roared one more time," You are making my work easier Raven! You know what I can do!"...... I knew what he meant by that...He'll come...Occupy the Earth and take me back to Hell! I found my feet on Earth, in a place called Gotham. I made my way through the dark alley I was in. Suddenly I saw two men proceeding towards me with a threatening look. I started to back away and tried to process everything. I was scared to use my powers on them. I was still thinking what to do, when a tall girl with red hair and green eyes,came flying and shooting green fire bolts, knocking them unconscious. She came forward to me,"What's your name?" "Rachel, Rachel Roth" "I'll leave you to your home. Where do you live?" "I don't have a home." "Your parents?" "Well, they're dead." "I'm sorry. But don't worry you can live with me." "I don't want to be a trouble for you." "Don't worry. Anyways, I was looking for a roommate."

In two months I did I learnt almost everything about human world. Then she suggested me the school life. She enrolled  herself in a college with the help of her boyfriend, who went to the same college. And here I am, nervous, as tomorrow will be my first day at school.
