Ch 15: Revelation!

Raven's POV:

"Raven.... you need to be strong and prepared."           "Mother....."          "Don't be scared Raven, my child. If something happens, you have those things with you....."            "Yes, Mother. The rings! The rings of Azar........."

I suddenly opened my eyes. It was just Damian tapping on my shoulder. I processed the situation and realized that I slept while studying!  Why do I keep embarrassing myself in front of him, Holy Azar?!      "I'm sorry, so sorry!" I said as I rubbed my eyes.

"Tt. I don't know what made you sleep, exhaustion or disinterest in Chemistry. Whatever it is, you should eat properly and improve your energy levels." Damian said looking towards a paper he was writing on.

"Ah yes. I'm a bit tired. But I also don't understand Chemistry well...." I replied shyly.

"Then you should have told me. I could've taught you. But not now.  You're tired."

"No, I'm not that tired. I'm not that weak. I'll be able to understand now."

"Really? I'm getting used to your stubbornness now! Okay, try to solve this simple chemical equation right now. This is the basic one."

"Well, let me see.  This... this one. Wait! Umm... If I put a '3' here, Calcium will get balanced......No wait. I uhh......"

"See, you can't solve the easiest one right now, because you're tired.  We can do this later. You should get some rest first."

Suddenly I heard a familiar voice, "Look who is giving the advice of getting rest! Haha!!! Practice what you preach, Little D!"      It was Dick!   Why is he inside the Manor?!  Wait I recall Dick calling himself Damian's brother!

"Grayson? You?" Damian looked a bit surprised.

"Did I interrupt something  I shouldn't have?" Dick smirked.

"Hello!" I said.

"Hello Rachel! I should introduce myself formally to you as you are a guest in the Manor.  I'm Dick Grayson. Son of Bruce Wayne and older brother of Damian Wayne."

"Brothers? Really?" I had to ask. There was no similarity in these two.

"I'm adopted actually. Not blood related!"

"Ahh, that explains a lot" I said.

"I'll get you home, Rachel. Damian, I'm sorry but you have to continue your 'study' dates some other day!"

"Who would date a stubborn like her?" Damian commented looking away.

"Who would date a prick like him?" I retorted!

"Okay, okay, whatever! I'm getting you home now." Dick said.

I packed my things and followed Dick, without looking back at Damian. Though I wanted to......

As Dick was driving, he suddenly spoke up, "Rachel, please make Damian comfortable if possible. I mean... I don't know how to put it in words.  I'll just say, he has had enough of a rough life... and probably now too. I won't force you anything, but he needs to slow down and rest mentally. Try being a close friend to him. He's not that bad as he seems!"

"Hmm. I understand." I replied.  Damian is really a mystery....

Raven's POV:

I'm finally done with my part time job! Today has been a normal school day except that Damian dragged me to the library again for Geography and Physics books! And of course Emiko taunting! I'm getting used to it all.  And I got the bike back!
