Shortly after San awoke from that fateful day they met, Wooyoung put him to rest in his own bed again, after managing to calm him down a little. San was too tired to fight, too weak to oppose a simple human.
He ate like crazy and soon went back to sleep in Wooyoung's bed, totally helpless.
His leg was recovering at full speed, it would take less time for being a wolf, but it would still take a few weeks maybe. And painful fever hit him and his body ached every inch. Until his full recovery, San would not leave that place. He just couldn't.
The bed was the only one in the place. So, to let San trust him for a little while, Wooyoung gave up the comfortable cottage and quickly lit a fire outside and a tent with thermal protection.
The boy slept all that time outside in the winter to make sure San didn't try to run away when he felt threatened by the proximity. That was one of his fears, he couldn't lose the boy now that he had come this far.
San felt better about the distance. Over the days he managed to capture the reality of his current situation.
Now he was totally alone, without friends or acquaintances, in the hands of a stranger again. This situation only made his daily nightmares worse, which only reminded him of the man he killed.
Even in his dreams, monsters did not leave him alone.
Over time, the omega began to watch carefully, San saw that it was just a one simple cottage with a bedroom, a bathroom and a kitchen / work area, possibly an attic, as he could see through the small door in the corner of the kitchen, locked with a padlock and several chains.
His gaze stayed there, he listened carefully to see if anything inside was moving, or if there was an opening through the roof. He didn't notice anything. It was complete silence.
Wooyoung said that there was a heavy musty smell up there, the area was locked because he lacked money for the concert. San realized that what he said was true, but the feeling that he was hiding something still prevailed. He let it be after a while.
The cottage's furniture was simple too. Bed, chairs, table, cabinets, all the most basic. It was incredible to have running water in that place. Humans lived in isolation in those areas, but nothing prevented them from invading everywhere and spreading like the plague. San thought to himself.
But it is clear that San did not forget the little friends who lived with the human. The dog and the cat were definitely the best thing there. None of them bothered about San's presence, they only bothered him when he stayed over their place on the bed. The cat in particular was very irritated when San put his feet on his space. And the dog didn't really care, but when slepping he would crushe San sometimes and dream about chasing some other animal, maybe the cat. The curious thing was that none of them had a name. Wooyoung just called them dog and cat.
The laziness of putting a name on the animals made San countless riled up. If they were his treasures and friends then why didn't he name them? It wasn't San's job, but already feeling fond of the animals, he couldn't control himself.
After a few days recovering there, San spoke one night, where they were all having dinner on the hunt that Wooyoung caught earlier.
"Why not call the dog Shiber? What about Lucifer for the cat?" Didn't talk much to Wooyoung for not trusting him, but the closeness he gave that night at dinner managed to greatly impress Wooyoung who swore that San would spend several days saying nothing at all.
"W-what?" Asked thinking he heard wrong. He thought he had forgotten San's voice, which despite being calmer now, remained quiet and painfully sad all the time, and made his distrust of the other very clear. Even though they had dinner together, Wooyoung would soon leave to leave San at ease. But maybe something has changed. The boy wanted to talk now.
