I learnt the new skill [Explosive Clone] for 4 skill points
I'm testing out the skill to see if it's actually useful in battles
I had enough to learn [Explosive Clone] and [Enemy Detection]. I can sense enemy with hostile aura coming from any direction
A toad is coming right at me from behind
"Don't think you can surprise me with my detection skill! [Explosive Clone]!"
A pile of dirt started to clump together...
The dirts clumped together and formed a humanoid figure... oh wait... it started gaining colours and...
It made a perfect clone of me!
"Go forth, me!"
The clone charged towards the toad and...
It hugged the toad...
'BOOM!'
The clone exploded, the toad was caught in the explosion and died
The explosion wasn't really that impressive, but it left a crater, 5 meter in diameter
*1 toad eliminated*
"That's quite awesome."
I sensed another toad coming from the west
"[Explosive Clone]!"
Another clone of me charged the frog, and exploded while hugging it
*2 toads eliminated*
I detected another toad, this time there's 3 toads coming from behind
"[Explosive Clone]!"
This time, I used more mana to create 3 clones of myself
The clones charged towards the toads. Each clone charged different toads and exploded
Explosive clones doesn't really consume alot of mana, unlike [Death-Ray]. Explosive clones uses as much mana as intermediate magic, so I can use dozens of them before depleting my mana completely
*5 toads eliminated, quest complete*
Killing 5 toads raised my level from 8 to 11. I wanted to learn some sword technique skills, so that I can actually make up for a vanguard
"Well, that was quite easy. Unlike the first time I face these monsters..."
It's just like the receptionist said. Giant Toads are supposed to be weak monsters, but because of how dysfunctional my party is, just facing these monsters would be a heavy work
I walked to the gate and continued to the guild to claim the reward
In the guild
I saw Kazuma learning some new spells to strengthen himself
Kazuma: "[Create Water]!"
Mana started to flow towards his palm, the mana gathered around it and burst out some water
It wasn't that impressive, it only manage to fill a glass with water. Then, he drank the water from the glass
It functions exactly like tap water to be honest
I'm sure my broken faucet can produce a stronger water stream
Kazuma: "Yap... this is basic magic. After learning some magic skills, I actually looked like an adventurer."
