One sided love (DeltaRune: Susie x Noelle)

❀ Chapter twelve ❀

Susie had been wandering around for some time now. She didn't quite know how long since her phone was now fucked up, but she wanted to say about an hour. Susie decided to check her phone again for the forth time and she raised a brow when the clock went ten minutes ahead.

"Ten minutes?! Fuck off! It felt so much longer than that!" Susie let a loud groan out as she violently shoved the phone back into her pocket, grumbling more swear words after.

"Susie?"

Susie heard a familiar voice calling out in front of her.... well, not really calling out...She could barely hear their monotone voice!

"Cheerful as ever, Kris." Susie let out a toothy grin as she walked up to the human.

"....Your appearance had changed." Kris said, looking up to the taller monster. The human could see a few of Susie's sharp teeth poking out through their long, messy bangs. Susie looked down at Kris and burst out in laughter. She placed a claw on her stomach and chuckled. "MY appearance?! Look who's talking, you smurf!"

Kris tilted their head to the side, clearly looking confused. Clearly they didn't take a good look at themself. Susie calmed down and regained her composure. "You're like.. blue and shit." Kris' usual pale skin was now a light blue. Their messy brown hair that covered half of their face was also a shade of blue, which was darker than their skin.

Not to mention the armour and bodysuit!

Kris was wearing a dark blue bodysuit and Susie couldn't help but to look over their body figure. Nobody really knew Kris' gender. Kris was just Kris. And since they were wearing this tighter outfit, Susie wanted to find the truth. But the teenager didn't see any breasts or any indication that they were male or female.

They also wore silver armour over the bodysuit and wore a pink and blue cape.

Kris looked down at themself and examined their blue hands. "....Oh, alright then."

Susie placed her hands on her hips and cocked her head to the side. "What the hell, man? You aren't the least surprised about this? You're so creepy and odd sometimes. Anyways...Do you know what the heck is even happening?"

Kris paused for a moment before shrugging. Susie sighed deeply, knowing she wouldn't get much of a reaction out of the human. Yeah, they were friends, but Kris was sure as hell weird!

And Susie didn't know much about them and what they think either.

Susie turned around, "Okay, let's bust the hell outta this dump!" She began to storm off in a direction and Kris followed.

Noelle woke herself up with a loud fit of coughing. "?!" She looked up at the ceiling of a building.

What is happening?! Where am I?

She tried to remember what was happening.

Noelle looked over to the small window in the room. Dark oranges and yellows flowed in, giving the impression that it was now evening. She could see a few white branches with just a little more snow on them since the morning. Noelle guessed they got a little more snow.

Dammit Noelle, think!

She let out a slight gasp as she remembered everything up to that point.

Doing the presentation.

Thinking about if Susie could be cheating on her.

Getting worked up over it.

The coughing fit.

The blood.

The class staring at her.

Berdly staring at her.

Berdly helping her to the nurse's office.

Noelle collapsing in the hallway before her mind went blank.

That was all she could remember.

Berdly probably brought her to the room and left. The deer shruddered, terrified what he might do. He doesn't seem like the monster to beat her up, but she probably wouldn't be easily forgiven considering it involved Berdly's school grades. And Noelle was scared thinking what he planned to do. She shook her head and leaned over to the other side of the bed to grab her school bag that was on the floor. She grabbed it and pulled it up, causing her to wheeze out and the chest pains to come back. She teared up and beared through the pain until her pink school bag was now resting on her legs. Noelle silently sat there for a few moments, rubbing her sore chest and wheezing.

When the discomfort was gone, she opened her bag and dug around for her phone. She grabbed it and pulled it out, checking the time.

4:30 pm

And a unread text message from her mother. Noelle guessed it was asking what happened, but she didn't feel like reading the message to confirm it.

Noelle let out a sad sigh when she didn't see any messages from Susie.

Maybe her and Kris are secretly lovers behind my back? Noelle thought to herself as she slid the phone back into her bag. She moved it off of her legs and got off of the bed afterwards and threw it over her shoulder.

Now she just has to quickly leave the school before Berdly finds her. She didn't want to speak to him and get yelled at. She walked over to the door, ready to place her hand on the silver knob.

But it opened before she could do that. The door hit her on her face and she stepped back, shaking her head to get rid of the pain. "H-Huh?"

"Where the hell do you think you're going?!"

A familiar high pitched voice yelled out to her. Ugh. Noelle knew exactly who this voice belonged to.

Of course berdly had to show up!
