The forest was getting denser the more they made their way through the trees. WR was adamant that this was the right way, and that they were really close to the King's castle by now. The group stopped at the edge of a clearing as they noticed a shaft of light drifting down from above, and casting its golden light onto a large book in the middle of the area. It was the biggest and probably most useless book Dipper had ever seen. It was about two Dippers high and just lying there, closed and seemingly forgotten about.

How was one suppose to read comfortably when it was that big?

Wendy sighed and looked down at the sleeping Robbie curled up in her pocket, "Pity we don't have Robbie to help us open entrance, we just need to open the book, and inside, there's like a cave system, just completely made of books, it's a really dorky place."

Bill floated over to it, "Tell me what to do and I'll do it, I have magic" he replied, trying to sound chuffed and important, and literally their only hope. Wendy rolled her eyes at the selfish cat "Just open it to the middle page" she said, gesturing to the book. Bill heaved the book open with his chubby paws and used the small amount of magic he had access to, to flick through it till he saw the middle seam, "There!"

"Thanks, Chesh"

"My name is Bill, call me Chesh one more time and I'll turn you inside out!"

Wendy shrugged, "Sorry, your lordship, you just remind me of someone else, is all"

"Who?" Dipper asked, grabbing Bill by the tail as he seethed with anger.

No weird, bird creature would get away with mocking him like that!

"We called him the Cheshire Cat"

"What happened to him?"

"I don't know, it's been ages since I last saw him"

"Oh, sorry"

"I think he was with the last Alice"

Dipper raised an eyebrow, "The brown-haired one that Bill seems to know, but won't tell us?"

Bills tail twitched as Dipper let it go, satisfied the demon wasn't going to harm his friend, "I have no idea what you mean." the cat scoffed as Dipper frowned at him, "What do you mean?" the boy asked, looking back at Wendy with in confusion.

The bird girl put up her hands, "All I'm saying is there's probably a good reason Chubby Fluffkins over there isn't telling you about them, and it's either really bad, or really funny"

Bill hissed a warning, "I can assure you, it's both."

They all stopped their argument as a rumbling noise persisted, making the ground shake and toss, and knock them off their feet. Wendy smiled as she stood back up, "Welp, this is where Soos and I will be leaving you" she said, taking the dodo's hand and pulling him away. Soos waved, "Bye dudes, nice meeting you!" he called out, allowing WR to sit on his shoulder.

"Wait!" Dipper cried, "You can't just go!" he reached out to her with every intent to stop Wendy in her tracks. But Robbie, who nipped his fingers with his tiny teeth-filled mouth and growled loudly, thwarted him, "Hands off my Girlfriend, Alice!"

Wendy smiled and shoved Robbie back into her pocket rather harshly, ignoring his angry protests, "Relax, Alice, you've got this, you just need to follow the cave system till you find some guards, tell them you want to see the Blue King, and boom! You can go home."

"Really? That's it?"

"Yep! Soos, come on, you fat bird!"

Soos chuckled and waddled after her, "Doo doo doo, I'm a do do do" he sang, WR giggling as he tied his ears under his head and sang along with him. Their voices echoed through the forest, getting fainter and fainter the more distance they trekked. Dipper turned back to his sister and Bill as soon as it was quiet, both of them standing (Or floating, in Bill's case) by the large double doors that had opened up, "Well, here's hoping this King can get us back home."
