I follow Hoseok through the woods.
We've been walking around since 5:00 pm and we haven't found where Taehyung went.
"Hey! Guys! There's a road up ahead!" I can barely hear Yoongi's voice.
We're walking in a sort of line formation, Yoongi and Namjoon at the front, with Hoseok in the middle and Jimin and I at the back.
Jimin catches up to me and walks with his hand on my shoulder, "Do you think they'll stop soon? My legs hurt."
"I think Namjoon said we'd stop once the moon came out, but that has to be soon." I smile at Jimin.
"Hey, we'll find him and bring him back to us! There's no way he'll just..." Jimin trails off.
"Forget about us?" I finish his thought.
"I guess you could say that. Everything will fine soon! The seven of us will be back together before you know it!" He wraps his arm around my shoulders and smiles.
We approach the road where the others wait for us.
"You guys ready?" Yoongi asks.
"We don't really have a choice do we?" I watch as a car speeds past us, causing the wind to throw our hair about.
"It's not that bad. You'll get across just fine." Namjoon pats my shoulder.
The cars stop passing for a moment and everyone crosses but Jimin and me.
"I-I don't want to. I-I can't..." I back away from the road.
"Jungkook! Jimin! Come on!" Hoseok waves us over.
"Give us a minute!" Jimin shouts back at them after a car flies by.
"I'll go with you. It'll all be fine."
"Okay...just don't get me killed," I say half-joking.
A few cars pass and Jimin grabs my hand, directing me across the street.
When we're halfway across he lets go and I cautiously follow him.
A big truck turns the corner and honks its horn.
I look towards it and I freeze.
The light blinds me.
A memory flashes through my mind and I'm a little boy again. I'm sitting in the back seat of a car behind my mom who is driving and my dad in the passenger seat. We're driving through the streets of Seoul. Suddenly another car collides with the passenger side of the car. My mind spins as I recall the event. I look at my father, whose bloody face lies on the dash of the car. I'm suddenly put in a hospital bed, then I'm sitting under a tree. An image of my father's grave flashes into my mind. Two other graves flash into my mind but the names are unreadable. I'm suddenly thrown back to reality.
"Jungkook!" I feel two pairs of arms grab me and pull me toward them.
"What the hell!" The car drives past and Yoongi shoves my shoulder a bit.
"I-I'm sorry I..."
"Yoongi! Did you forget about..." Hoseok looks at me to make sure I'm alright.
"It doesn't matter, we just need to find Taehyung. You can be mad at me all you want for being traumatized." I wipe the tears forming at my eyes and push past the others and ahead of Namjoon. I hear footsteps behind me followed by whispers. A pair of footsteps hurry to catch up to me.
"Hey, I'm sorry Jungkook. I didn't mean to get mad at you, I was just...I was afraid to lose you." Yoongi puts his hand on my shoulder.
"No, you should be mad at me. I shouldn't have stopped walking. If Hoseok and Jimin didn't grab me fast enough, if I died, it would have been my fault, not yours." I keep my gaze on the ground.
"Jungkook, stop blaming yourself for everything." Yoongi steps in front of me and places his hands on my shoulders, "You need to stop being so hard on yourself, you're too young to hurt yourself like this."
"Once we find Taehyung maybe I'll be able to calm down, but I don't want to keep worrying about him. Hyung...do you think he's ok?"
"I know he's ok. Taehyung would do anything to stay ok because he probably knows we'll come after him. Like we always say, 'We're family, we will find each other when we get lost.'" He pats my shoulder.
Jimin comes up from behind me and jumps onto my back, forcing me to give him a piggyback ride.
"Lets keep searching guys, he couldn't have gone far." Namjoon walks ahead of the group.
Jimin groans and whispers in my ear, "He's not going to give us a rest will he." He rests his chin on my shoulder, and I hold him on my back.
We follow Namjoon into the coming night.
