There Was Nothing You Could Do

Jin wrapped up Hoseok's wound when Taehyung left, and Hoseok is now asleep on Jin's bed.

The door opens and Taehyung walks in with Jungkook behind him.

"Where's Jimin?" I hop off the counter I was sitting on.

"I didn't get there fast enough." Taehyung plops himself on his bed.

Jungkook stares at the floor.

"Jungkook?" Yoongi tries to make eye contact with him but he looks away.

Jin looks out into the hallway, "I don't see him."

"Jungkook, where's Jimin?" I put my hand on his shoulder.

He looks at me and grabs something from his pocket and hands it to me.

"You're not telling us Jimin's...gone? Are you?" Hoseok is finally awake, and he stares at the inhaler in my hand.

"We don't know. The creature took him, that's all I can say." Taehyung looks out the window as if he was searching for something.

"We have to go get him!" Yoongi protests.

"The first thing we have to do is get Hoseok to the hospital." Jin looks at him

"I'm fine Jin-hyung, I really-" He sits up and winces as he does so.

"We can't split up anymore. We don't want to-"

"Jin-hyung..." Taehyung interrupts him.

"What?"

"Didn't this have Yoongi-hyung's name on it earlier?" He shows him the file, and where Yoongi's name and age was is now a blank space.

"What?!" Jin takes the file from Taehyung and stares at it, "I swear it did."

Yoongi and I look over Jin's shoulders at the file.

A new name and age begins to appear.

Jeon Jungkook

The three of us look up from the file and to Jungkook.

He looks back at us, "What?"

"It's you." Jin says.

Yoongi rips the file from Jin's hands.

"What are you doing?"

Yoongi stands over the garbage can, "I'm done with this bullshit! This place keeps fucking with our heads. We have to go. Now." He rips up the file and drops it in the trash.

"Who's gonna take Hobi?" I begin creating a plan.

"Hyung and I can take him." Yoongi looks at Jin who shrugs.

"Ok. Yoongi, you said it was afraid when you used the fire extinguisher on it? We can go around and collect some. We should split into two groups of three. I'll go with Tae and Jungkook. The three of you stay together." I look at Yoongi, Jin, and Hoseok.

"We've got walkies so we can stay in touch. Now, if we run into the creatures we shouldn't shoves ourselves into a room. We all know how that turned out. Once we get as many fire extinguishers as we can carry lets meet up at the entrance. From there we can leave, if those things follow us we will have a way to fight them. We'll take Hobi to the hospital and then look for Jimin." I nod, waiting for a response from the others.

"I'll try and help as much as I can. I don't want to be a burden." Hobi is the first to reply.

"Okay, keep the channels open and we should be all good." Taehyung hands me his walkie.

"The three of us will take the South side of the building, you take the North?" Jin starts helping Hoseok to his feet.

"Sounds good." I hold the door so Jin can help Hoseok to the hallway.

Jin starts walking with Hoseok down the right side of the hall.

Yoongi joins them and waves ya goodbye.

"Come one Kook." Taehyung smiles at him.

As Jungkook walks out the door I grab his arm and spin him around, "Keep this." I hand him Jimin's inhaler.

He puts it back in his pocket and the three of us walk down the left side of the hall and to the stairs.
