My gun was trained on a man. Not an invader, a human male. I didn't drop my aim. I just maneuvered my way around my work tables to get closer to him.

A tall man stood before me, his hair was of ebony and his eyes of ruby. I was mesmerized by his traits. His hair was tied back in a pony tail and it reached his lower back. The unique things were his piercings, three instead of each eyebrow, three down each side of his nose, five on each ear, and two under his lips. He has a simple semi-automatic rifle slung over his shoulder resting on his back. He had a simple tight black tee showing off his build and a leather jacket with jeans.

I snapped out of my daze and glared at him "Who are you? And why are you here?" I growled out

"Empty bunker my ass." He muttered "Look shorty, I'm not here to hurt 'cha. I'm just here lookin' for supplies." He said putting his hands up

I kept my gun up "I asked you who you were." I circled him dropping an arm and keeping the other up with my gun. I grabbed the strap of his weapon and tugged on it. He slipped out of it and I set the rifle on the closest work table.

"People know me as Black Steel, but my friends know me as Gajeel, Gajeel Redfox."

"How do I know you aren't here to take the weapons?" I said inspecting him

"Because I didn't know about them." He growled at me.

"Don't try anything, Redfox." I growled and climbed up the ladder to the hatch and pulled it shut.

"What is this place anyway?" He asked not moving

"It's a government bunker I've been living in for six months." I said dropping my pistol on my work table and jumping up onto it.

"Did you make all of these?" He asked gesturing to the weapons.

I nodded "Every last one of them, I know how to use 'em too." I smiled sheepishly

"Uhhh I thought I might tell you" he was blushing this extremely intimidating man was blushing about ME?!?!? "Yer kinda" he pointed at my torso and I looked down immediately. I was still in my sports bra! I shrieked and ran to a cabinet full of clothes I pulled a tank-top over my head. I knew even if I couldn't see my face was as red as can be.

"You could have said something earlier!" I cried out flustered. Then the must unusual noise came to my ears. This man was chuckling! A small 'Gihi' sound was coming out of him and he was bent over at the waist laughing! "I-it's not funny!!!" I cried in distress

"It's pretty damn funny, shorty" he said between gihi's

I strode over and punched him in the shoulder. "Stop laughing!!!" I yelled at him

Then I realized here I was with this complete stranger, and I was reacting too commonly to him. I had to stop this. I need to focus. I don't have time for males. Hell I don't need anyone, I'll survive on my own. I went straight faced and ridged. He stopped laughing. "Get. Out." I said coldly pointing to the hatch.

"Hey now shorty, I don't think that's a good idea, down here alone with all these weapons, I little girl like you probably won't be able to handle it." He said patting my head. I was infuriated. Who does he think he is? I pulled away from him glaring.

"I've survived here for six months without anyone's aid! Why would I need it now?" I picked up my pistol "I don't need help."

The ground shook with a large bang. I clutched at my work table to stay upright. Redfox was stumbling around until he ran into my back clutching the table, an arm at each of my sides.

"Damnit" he muttered against my ear "they know where we are" the ground stopped shaking and he sprung into action gathering the weapons. "Bags?" I pointed to a cabinet and grabbed my back pack and stuffed as many changes of clothes I could into there. Along with my remaining cans. I slipped the bag onto my back and strapped a holster to each of my thighs.

"Pack all of the weapons on the outer counters. Those are functioning." I hollered at him while searching for my pistols. I holstered a ray gun pistol. I was looking for the other when a hand strapped it to my thigh. I muttered a thanks and helped him pack away the weapons. All of them were in two large duffle bags. I handed him my backpack and he slipped it on his back. "I'll be taking care of you tonight" I slipped the strap of his assault rifle over my head and slung it into my hands.

"Counting on it" he grunted slinging the ruffles over his shoulders making an x with the straps. "Let's go shorty"

He climbed his way up the ladder and pushed open the hatch. He hoisted himself out and I stood still looking around the bunker for what might be the last time. I smiled and climbed up the ladder to find a hand waiting for me. He looked down at me with a slight smile. I reached my right hand up and grabbed hold of his hand.

He pulled me up and into the autumn air. Dead leaves rustled and I stood there taking it all in. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. "Come on shorty" he said from a few paces away. I gave a small smile and walked after him.

And I knew from that moment forward I'd never be going back.
