We all flooded into a room a table was set up along with the familiar lay out of the towns surround this very spot. Gajeel had his arm wrapped protectively around my waist as he made his way to the center of the room to stand by Erza and a blue haired man.

"It is time we fight back!" Erza shouted earning a chorus of hoots and hollers. I leaned into Gajeels side. He pulled his arm up and wrapped it around my shoulders. I looked up to find a slight flush on his face. "It's time we kick these alien scum out of our territory!!!! Earth is for the Humans not some booger drooling monsters!" She shouted and cheers rang out, when the toned down she clapped "then let's get down to business."

We spent hours in the room. Gajeel had pulled up a chair for me and I watched intently as they discussed plans. Occasionally I would add in some information about the weapons I had here. The normal fighters had flooded out of the room after Erza's "speech." I had my elbows on the table listening intently with a small smile on my face. Gajeel occasionally would ruffle my hair and let out a 'gihi.'

It was seven hours after entering the room that all of our stomachs were growling in protest. We'd finished the plans, they were flawless. I was yawning and struggling to keep my eyes open at the end, Gajeel picked me up without a word and walked into the cafeteria.

It was empty in here. I yawned and tiredly nuzzles into his chest. He got us some food from Mira. He set me down on my feet on a table and bent down and I climbed onto his back. He didn't wince at all.

"Calm down Shrimp, Wendy put a good healing salve on my back. It doesn't hurt." He told me

I wrapped my arms around his neck and my legs around his waist. He picked up the food tray. I caught a glance of Mira staring at us dreamily. To my shock he didn't stop to sit at a table he kept walking straight out of the cafeteria. He walked down a corridor past the infirmary and unlocked a door. He opened it and stepped inside flipping on the lights, I nuzzle into his neck.

"Come on, Shrimp, chow time." He set down the tray on a desk and then crouched down for me to get off. I crawled off his back and rubbed my eyes tiredly.

I watched as he plopped down in a chair at the desk. Though there was another chair, I found myself missing his warmth. Before I knew it I crawled into his lap and started eating there. I don't know what his reaction was other than one of his arms winding its way around my waist keeping me in place.

"Shrimp, I want to let you know that I can't have you going on the mission." He whispered lowly into my ear. This snapped me out of my drowsy state.

I tried to jump from my position on his lap, but he held me in place. "Why? You know I'm more than capable!" I cried

"I can't have you getting hurt, Shorty." He muttered lowly refusing to meet my eyes

"How do you think I feel then?" I asked prying his hand off of my waists. Tears pricked my eyes. I turned to walk out of his room. He grabbed my hand and pulled me back. I was standing between his legs.

"Levy." He stated simply and it sent a small jolt of happiness through me. "I know it's selfish, but I can't have you on that battlefield." He stated and his crimson orbs met my eyes and I melted. Tears trailed down my cheeks

"Gajeel..." I trailed off, he reached up with both of his hands and wiped my tears away with his thumbs. I was shocked to find him slightly tearing up himself

"I-I can't lose you. You're mine, Shorty" he growled possessively. He pulled me down to him, his lips pressed against mine in a chaste kiss.
My eyes fluttered shut and my cheeks flushed. He pulled back and kissed right under both of my eyes.

"Gajeel" I breathed looking back into his eyes. He lips formed a small smirk. "If you can't have me hurt, why don't you protect me yourself?" I asked as he pulled me back into his lap.

"I'll allow it, Shimp, but you better not leave my side." He said burying his face in my neck. With no warning he lifted me up and walked to the bed and dropped me down on it. "We need sleep, Shorty." He said with a 'gihi' he pulled his shirt off and tossed it at me. I glared at him, and he pointed to my backpack in the corner.

I walked over to it and dug through the clothes. How in the hell did I forget to pack pajamas?!?! Then I realized, I don't wear pajamas I'd wear my sports bras and underwear, I sure as hell wasn't wearing that next to him in bed. I turned to find he'd changed into a pair of athletic shorts, with no shirt. His chest was toned.

"Lemme guess, no pajamas?" He raised an eyebrow. His lips pulled into a smirk when I nodded. He sat on the bed and tossed me a shirt our of his drawer. "Get changed, Shrimp." He said rolling back on the bed making it obvious he wasn't looking

A small smile graced my lips at him. I pulled off my clothes and changed into his shirt. It was huge, sure it would fit him like a second skin, but on me it was like a nightgown. I crawled into bed with him and he rolled over. His left arm wrapped around my waist pulling me to his chest and his right bent under my head to serve as a pillow.

"Goodnight, Lev." He muttered pressing a sweet kiss to my forehead before burying his face in my hair.
