Izuku's POV:
Izuku walked next to Kacchan as they made their way to the restaurant. He held onto his arm just a little tightly since being around people made him have anxiety.
Kacchan must have noticed this, because he soon felt the arm he was holding go around him.
Izuku smiled and moved closer to him, feeling safer now. Kacchan wouldn't let anything happen.
Of course the lingering anxiety was still there but he trusted Kacchan.
After a bit, Izuku spoke up.
"H-Hey Kacchan?"
"Hm?"
"Thanks for accepting me.." He mumbled, loud enough for Kacchan to hear.
"No problem, nerd. You deserve it."
Izuku felt like he could cry but held it in. "Y-You're the best.." He said happily.
"Of course I am." Kacchan responded cockily.
Izuku giggled at the fact that Kacchan was so confident. That was one of the things he liked about him though.
The walked for a bit longer and soon made it to a breakfast place.
Luckily other than the workers, the inside was pretty much empty.
Kacchan let go of him and Izuku looked at him and smiled. "I'm gonna go find us a seat."
Kacchan nodded. "I'll order the food, what do you want?" He asked.
Izuku looked at the menu, trying to figure out what would cost Kacchan the least money. "Uhm.. I'll just have some pancakes."
"That's all?"
"Yeah.." Izuku still wasn't comfortable with eating too much.
He barely ate for the past 2 months, so his stomach had definitely gotten smaller.
At least while I was... there... he.... was nice enough to give me water... and I of course I was able to steal some when I was out for the last month.
Though only ate enough for him to stay alive. He didn't want to get fat.
Kacchan sighed lightly and nodded. "Go find our table, I'll be there when I'm done ordering our food.
Izuku nodded and wandered off to go find them a table.
He clenched onto the sleeves of Kacchan's sweater. As soon as he got away from him, he got all nervous again.
He soon found a table in the corner of the room that looked like it was comfy and away from any people that might be nearby.
Izuku sat down and tapped his foot on the ground nervously. After a couple minutes, Kacchan arrived at the table with their food.
Izuku smiled and calmed down as soon as he saw him. Kacchan was here, he's fine now.
Kacchan put the food down on the table and sat across from him.
"Thanks!" Izuku said with a smile as he took his plate of pancakes. A bit more food than he was hoping for but oh well.
"Mhm." Kacchan said, having a small smile on his face.
They both started eating, and it was quiet for a bit. But it was a comfortable silence.
After awhile, Izuku spoke up. "How's UA so far?" He asked. Although he saw him in class a few times, he was still curious what he thought about it.
Kacchan told Izuku about the things they've done so far. It's only been about 2 weeks, so there wasn't too much to talk about.
But he still bragged about he got higher scores than a lot of the class on the test.
He also spoke about teachers and his class.
When he said that All Might was a teacher at UA, Izuku's eyes widened.
"Really?! You get to be taught by All Might?!"
Kacchan nodded. "He's so much cooler in person."
Izuku's eyes sparkled and he smiled. "Wow.."
They talked just like when they were just kids, and when everything was so much simpler.
They had soon both finished their food.
Izuku was in a really good mood, any anxiety he had forgotten about for now.
Kacchan also seemed to be in a good mood. He never smiled this much.
"You ready to leave?" Kacchan asked.
Izuku nodded. "Mhm!"
They both stood up and cleaned up.
They walked out of the restaurant hand in hand.
This took way too long to make- but writers block- it be a bitch. Also- I made another art- it has nothing to do with anything but I'm proud of it so here.
