Shelphine's P.O.V

I'm in English class. We're doing black out poetry. It's ok I guess. We are all working, the teacher already gave us instructions. Well, most of us are working. I see out of the corner of my eyes several kids from this stupid gang called the Soul Breakers. They're picking on some one I've never seen before.

"Hey can you knock it off?" I whisper to them.

Then a kid named Mason looks at me, then looks down. I follow his gaze to underneath the desk. He's flipping me off! I give him a death glare and go back to my work. I attempt to tune them out, which doesn't work at first. But they are bullying the kid quietly, so eventually I can focus. Poor boy. Well at least the class is almost over.

-Time skip to Shelphines house-

Kiri  is hosting a sleep over party. I just got the text. I hope mom lets me go.

"Mom!" I call for her.

"In the kitchen." I hear her yell.

"Kiri is having a sleep over. Can I go?" I ask as I walk into the room.

"You can go. You don't really need to ask now that you have a car."

"Yes she does!" Dad shouts from the study room.

Mom gives me a look that says just do it to make him happy. So I do. Dad says it's fine without much hesitation, so what was the big deal? I thank him and start to leave the room.

"Oh and don't kiss any boys!" Dad orders, only half joking.

"It's a girl's party dad." I roll my eyes. I pack my things and finally get in the car.

-Time skip to the party-

We are all playing Imitation. It's a game where everyone gets a randomly chosen partner, and tries to act like their partner. That's really all it is, but it's super funny. I'm paired up with a girl named Jocie. Thankfully we know each other pretty well. Grace finishes her imitation of someone named Taylor. It's our turn now. Jocie goes first.

"Hey everyone! Today I will teach you kung foo." She then kicks a chair dramatically and ends up falling.

"Yeah! I call that one the kick and dodge. Welp, that's all for now. Crazy ninja lady out." Jocie walks out of the 'spotlight' and pushes me in playfully.

I already know what i'm doing for Jocie. She's obsessed with spider man, so I break out in song.

"Spooder man. Spooder man. Does whatever a spooder can. Spin a web, climb up trees. He might even eat bumble bees." I made up some of it.

I stick out my arm and put my hand in the web-shooting position. Then I go back to the rest of them. After a while, we pick out our spot on the floor to sleep. I choose my spot like everyone else. Then it's lights out. As I drift into unconsciousness, I don't even think about my dream from the night before...
