Capítulo Veintiuno

I just wanted to inform all of you that the next chapter that will be uploaded is the last chapter and after that is the epilogue of this book. Thank you very much!

"Are you sure about this, Raphael?" I asked whilst looking at him as he is busy driving the car.

"Of course, I am."

"Pero...I'm sure tita Fiona will be mad. She doesn't like me for you. She loathes my whole family."

"So what? Then let her be mad."

"Raphael naman. I am serious kaya."

"Seryoso rin naman ako, Victorina. I live my life feeling this huge anger towards your parents, towards your family and I'll tell you that it wasn't easy. I can't say na fully napatawad ko na ang magulang mo pero ano pa ba ang magagawa ng galit ko sa kanila? Hindi na rin naman no'n kayang ibalik ang buhay ni papa," he said then he turned to me for a few seconds before he brings his eyes back to the road.

"I understand but...we can let the things cool first."

He roughly shook his head. "No. Kailangan na niyang malaman. Kailangan niyang tanggapin na ikaw at ikaw na ang babaeng gusto kong makasama habang buhay."

I am sure that my cheeks are burning red right now because of what he said. It is still not sinking into me.

Raphael loves me!

Raphael wanted to be with me for infinity!

I also dreamed of him being the person I wanted to spend my whole lifetime with. I hope this time, destiny will support our love. That no matter how rough the road may be and tough the challenges are, we will bring home victory with our hands holding each other tightly.

My heart beats become undoubtedly faster than usual, my hands are trembling, and bullet of sweat forms on my forehead as I saw that we are almost in their house.

I am sure na hindi ako matatanggap ni tita. I really need to ready myself for that.

Once we enter their household, I saw tita Fiona's eyes filled with anger, hatred and disgust while looking at me.

"Anong ginagawa ng babaeng 'yan dito?" galit na tanong ni tita Fiona kay Raphael nang ibaling niya ang attention dito.

"Ma, huwag mo naman siyang pagsasalitaan nang ganyan. She's my girlfriend and I just wanted to formally say it to you."

"Raphael, alam mo naman ang ginawa ng pamilya niya sa papa mo?! Why are you bringing her here? Akala ko ba tapos ka na sa paghihiganti mo? Ano na naman 'to?" she asked with furious eyes and gritted teeth.

"This isn't about revenge anymore! She's here because I love her. Kung hindi mo siya matanggap then fine. Dinala ko siya rito hindi para i-validate mo ang relasyon namin, I just wanted to show respect to you as my mother."

Tita laughed like a madwoman na kahit ako ay parang natatakot na rin sa kanya.

"Are you choosing a Reyes over our family?" she asked mockingly.

"Wala akong pinipili! Mahal ko ang pamilya natin pero mahal ko rin si Victorina. Why can't you understand that Victorina is not her parents?!" madiing saad ni Raphael dahilan upang sampalin siya nang malakas ng kanyang ina.

"You ungrateful bastard!"

Raphael looked at his mother with pain in his eyes. There's too much emotion that he can't even contain.

I don't want to see them fighting because of me. Gusto kong magsalita. Gusto kong pigilan sila but...what can I do? I don't want to let the situation feels heavier than it already is. Wala naman akong maiitutulong. Papalalain ko lang ang sitwasyon.
