Chapter XI

"Morning Riri!" I turn around to find Yoshiko-chan walking towards me.

"Morning.." I said and yawns.

"Wah what happened to you?" She asks.

"I didn't get some sleep last night." I said as I rub my eyes.

"Why? Ohh! is it love?" I just sigh and shake my head.

"Come on tell meee!!" she whines, I rolled my eyes and told her what happened last night.

"Whoa! so you actually like her?" she asks in disbelief. I glared at her.

"Shhh! Keep down your voice!" I hissed.

"And I don't know yet." I say quietly. I feel a pat on my back.

"Well I think you're in love with her." She said and my eyes widen, my cheeks are burning and my heart is beating so fast. I shake my head again.

"No, no, no." She laughs at me.

"Well whatever, it's not like you two sleep together in the same bed." She tease.

"The only reason why we are sleeping together in the same bed is that it keeps her nightmares away. It's nothing more." I argue.

"Of course it is more than that, you're the one that keeps her nightmares away. She has feelings for you." She said and rolled her eyes.

"And she did said to you last night that she likes you." She adds.

"Well maybe she was dreaming." I said.

"Yeah like she knows any other Riko than you? I doubt." She says annoyed. Then we heard the bell rang.

"Well see you later." Yoshiko-chan said and walk away from me towards her class, I sigh as I did the same.

I sat down on my chair and Chika-chan greeted me which I returned, our teacher came in and starts her lessons. I couldn't focus because all of Yoshiko-chan said made my head spin around.

It is insane that I am in love with You-chan. Sure, she is beautiful and handsome at the same time, and she can tease me sometimes. I like her but only as a friend but being in love with her, come on. Even if I do, she wouldn't like me that way.

Well she did told you, that she likes you.

I slumped my head on my desk, I didn't know that it was already lunch time when Chika-chan shakes me.

"Riko-chaaan, I'm sorry but I can't eat together with you today." she said and I just nodded, sighing, I grab my lunch box and head towards the rooftop.

Usually Chika-chan and I eat in our room but since Chika-chan isn't around, I decided to eat in here since I want a quiet place to think right now.

I open the door as usual no ones here, I walk towards the corner, and surprisingly I saw You-chan sitting on the floor. Her lunch on her lap is still untouched, she is just looking up on the vast blue sky with her sad blue eyes, she seems lost in her thoughts.

I slowly walk towards her, "You okay?" I asks, she got out of her daze, smiling sadly and nods.I really hate to see her sad, I wish I could take her pain away.

"Is it okay if I sit next to you?" I asks.

"Of course." she said, I smile and sat down next to her, we sat there in silence. I turn to look at her and she's starting in the vast blue sky again.

"Now you're the one who's staring." I heard her said as she turns to look at me with her crooked smile, making my heart tingle.

"I know." I said.

"Is there something wrong?" She looks at me with pleading eyes, knowing that I can't help but give in to her.

"Do you like me You-chan?" I blurted out, realizing what I said, I feel my cheeks warming up. She looks at me amused and giggled.

"I thought it was something serious, you scared me and yes, I do like you." she says, my heart skipped a beat.

"On a scale of one to ten, how much?" She looks at me thinking and takes a deep breath.

"Nine."

"What, why?"

"Because sometimes you make weird noises when you sleep and that takes one point." She teased and I shake my head while rolling my eyes.

"You are unbelievable." I said, she chuckled.

"Hey, we are not all perfect. I have many flaws." She said.

"No, you are perfect You-chan." Her cheeks redden and she looks away from me.

"No, I am not." She says, as she turns to look at me again.

"I hate that I cannot stop thinking about the past. I hat that I can't tell you those things you want to hear because I am afraid of losing you." She looks down on her lap, clenching her hands in fists. I grab her hand, squeezing it gently.

"You can tell me anything, You-chan. I will never leave you."

"No, you should, Riko-chan. You should run away from me. I am not a person you keep close as a friend. I am the person people avoid. I am the one people throw in the trash." Her voice broke.

"No, You-chan. You mean a lot to me, I would never leave you." I can feel a lump in my throat, it is painful to listen to her talking so bad about herself. I hate it when she does it.

She looks at me with her sad blue eyes, "I promise, I will tell you one day." She said and I intertwine our hands, as I rest my head on her shoulder.

"Just wait for me, Riko-chan."

"I will, and you're not getting away that easily from me. I will follow you." I said and she snorts.

I think Tsuki-chan and Yoshiko-chan are right. I have feelings for You-chan, stronger than they should, I want her right next to me like this all of the time. I want her to sleep next to me every night so that I can hear her heartbeat.

Also because right now, I want to kiss her more than anything.

I want her to kiss me.
