Riko's P.O.V
"Yeah, see you tomorrow." I bid my goodbyes to Chika-chan as I turn around and see Yoshiko-chan with Hanamaru on her side. I smiled towards them and wave to them as I start walking towards the music room to play while waiting for Watanabe-san.
She goes out of the class till five because she lost so much school last year, well like I know the reason why since my parents doesn't tell me anything.
As I turn around the corridors, I saw her entering the music room quietly, she is skipping. I quickly walk and open the door making her jump.
"What do you think you're doing?" I hissed, she open her mouth but closes it again. She looks scared.
"Weren't you supposed to be in class?" I ask and she shrinks.
She looks at me with her blue eyes, making my heart tingle again. Then she starts walking out of the room.
"Hey!" I called out to her and grab her hands, it's so soft. She turns around and I look up to her, my breathe hitched when I realized that our faces are so close to each other.
[A/N: Just a reminder that You-chan is taller than Riko-chan here.]
I move my gaze to the ground and let go of her hand.
"You can't just skip classes whenever you want." I say and look up again, she looks thoughtful and gone. She just shake her head not a single word coming out of her mouth, which makes me boil in anger.
"Why did you skip?" I ask, I waited for a minute for her to say something but never came. All she do is look at me with those damn eyes of her. She looks so guilty, I shake my head and clenched my teeth.
"Let's just go home." I said, she just nod.
"Do I really have to look after you every time?" I ask upset, as we walked out of the school grounds. I turn to look at her, she has her head down and she shakes her head as an answer.
"If my parents knows about this, you get the blame and I get the blame." I sigh and shake my head, of her ignorance.
"You know what, you are just trouble." I said upset, as we continue to walk. In my peripheral vision, I saw her shrink.
We walk in the front door, Watanabe-san run up to her room and I saw mom out in the garden, I guess she have a night shift today. I walk towards her.
"Mom?" she turns to look at me.
"Hey, why are you two home early?" mom ask, I sigh.
"She skipped another class." I simply say.
"Thank you, dear. I'm glad you keep an eye on her." She then kissed my head and we both walk in the house, and I head to my room.
After I got change into more comfortable clothes, i walk downstairs. Dad comes in the door with full with bags. Mom helped him and kissed his cheek and they walk towards the kitchen and placed the groceries in it's place. Now I heard them talking ro each other.
I walk up stairs, up on the roof. Watanabe-san is leaning on the railing, looking out to the view. The sun is about to go down, it looks as beautiful as always. I walk over to and stand next to her. She does not turn to look at me, just watching the sunset.
We stand here for a moment in silence. I turn to watch her, and she moves to look at me too. Her eyes tells me that she has been crying, her skin looks sore, and red. She has a smile on her face, but that can't hide the hurt in her eyes.
"Are you alright?" I ask and she smiles brightly and nods. Obviously, she is lying. She turns to look at the last view of the sun, and I do the same.
"It's beautiful here." She says, still her eyes are on the sunset. I was surprised when she said something to me, her voice is so smoothing.
She then turns to look at me with a crooked smile and sparkling blue eyes, it makes my stomach tingle again. No one has ever watch me like that before, and it is a weird feeling.
"I-im going back down."
Did I just stutter? The way she looks at me makes me feel something that I can't understand.
I step down the stairs and saw dad who looks like he is looking for someone. He saw me and ask.
"Honey, have you seen You?" I nod.
"She is on the roof." His eyes widen.
"Alone?" I nod again.
"Well it's not like she's going to jump." I said and shrug. His eyes turn hard.
"If you had to go through what she has been through, then you would." He says upset.
"Well, it's not like you told me anything, so I do not know!" I yelled, upset too because after that girl arrives here all that I heard is, her this, her that. I don't what's their deal with her.
He breathes out and I look behind him and saw Watanabe-san standing there, scratching her neck, looking uncertain. Then she walks back up. I turn to dad, his face is blank.
"I should go and talk to her." He says more calmly and I just nod, afraid to talk.
I head towards my room and just play my piano. The sound of the door behind me makes me turn.
"You okay honey?" Mom asks, sitting on my bed.
"Yeah." I answer, she just smile at me and I continue to play. We stay here in silence a little while, enjoying the sound of the piano that I play.
