Katniss pov
I wake in Peeta's arms the memory of yesterday comes back I can't believe gale shot me he was my best friend and he shot me!
I sit up and wince which causes peeta to stir he slowly opens his eyes I love his eyes so much they remind me of the ocean he sits up his face witten in concern
"Are you okay kat?"he asks I shrug
"Well as a person can be after being shot"I say he tenses when I say that which makes me regret it I sigh
"Sorry didn't mean to upset you"I say he shakes his head and pulls Me close
"It's okay I was just so scared yesterday and you were in so much pain and i couldn't do anything " he says I kiss him gently
"You did help me though"I say he looks up and looks confused
"How?"he asks I smile
"You stayed"I state simply he smiles
'How'd we get a mate so perfect?"Annabelle asks
'I don't know ann' I say
Peeta helped me up seeing as I couldn't pull myself up, I went over to the mirror I lift my shirt to revel a set of black zig zag stitches I growl a little at the sight
"There only temporary"peeta erasures me I shrug and nod
"I know there just..."I trail off peeta nods
"I know what you mean"he says
We walk downstairs were prim stands with my father
"Hey kitten"he says I growl
"Dadd"I whine he smirks
"Kitt"he mocks peeta and prim laugh
"Quite little duck,breadboy"I tease they both growl and frown me and dad laugh
"See everyone has nicknames"my dad says
"Your right red"my mother comments we all laugh
"Red?"peeta ask my father frowns
"He got hit In the face by a doge ball and his face was bright red"she says I laugh
"Well daddy I'm gonna tease you know"I say prim smirks
"Whatever you say kitten"he says I roll my eyes and eat breakfast my mother walks back in
"Your getting your stitches out tomorrow"she says I nod, being a wolf we heal faster a cut would go away within and hour so it only takes two days for my bullet wound to heal it's really good aswel because prim always finds a way to hurt herself
We chat a little before peeta goes home to his pack and I go back upstairs and snuggle up in bed it's too cold to leave so I watch birds maids and fall asleep to my terrors
