The mission

I get dressed in black jeans a black shirt and brown hunting jacket- of my fathers he gave me when I was younger- and black combat boots I tie my up and grab my bow heading downstairs

My father stood there looking at me smiling slightly when he saw my jacket but it was replaced by a look of worry as soon as it came,he embraces me

"Be safe"he whispers I nod

"I will"I say back we break away prim hugged me, I noticed the family's if the two people going with me talking

"Please be carful katniss"prim begs I smile and stroke her hair

"I'm always carful little duck,anyways I'll be back soon"I say she nods I enbrace my mother no words are exchanged we don't need them to know she wants me to be safe

I walk into the back garden to see peeta sitting out here,he turns to look at me his big blue eyes full of fear and worry,I give him a small smile.

"Promise you'll be carful and you'll come back"he asks in a pleading tone I've never heard him like this before

"I'll be fine peeta it's me, what can't i do"I joke he wraps his arms around me

"Be normal,not put yourself in danger,cook.."he trails off joking I chuckle

"Okay okay,anyways I've got as Johanna calls them super powers snows only got himself and four men"I start "I'll be fine"I add he nods and presses his lips to mine

This kiss is desperate but soft I kiss back,when ever I touch him sparks shoot though my body it sounds stupid but it's true; I guess your mate can do that

We pull away our foreheads touching I smile at him which he retuns but I can tell he's still worried by the look in his eyes, I put my hand on his chest above his heart

"I promise I'll be okay peeta just hang out with the guys to take your mind off it"I say softly he nods sadly

"Katniss were going"I her Boggs call I kiss peeta once more before waving and running inside the house

I nod to Boggs and Cressida we wave once more and leave the house going though the woods it's a half am hour walk but we make it, I spot the two guards outside I load my bow and fire piecing his chest, the other scans to woods franticly he didn't see us thankfully

Cressida gets a small gun and puts it to her mouth shooting a poisoned dart to him killing him I'm a instanced, I nod towards her we sneak round back I climb though a window and walk down the hall I peek my was round the conner I spot the oter two gaurds standing outside his door I fire at one he drop dead the other is about to shout when I shoot him he slumps over dead.

I resist the urge to gag as I pass there dead body's, the guilt is already eating at me but I push it away for now to conplete the mission.

I open the brown door the reveal a room with a red carpet and white walls the brown book shelfs full if old books and them the desk has many little objects and nick-nacks

My eyes land on the white bearded man sigh the snake eyes watching me with a shocked expression; bet he didn't see this coming

He stands and moves slightly I see a small girl dark skin brown eyes like thesh's, I gasp it's rue he's got rue

"Now no harm has been done to the girl actually I picks her up from shook today,anyways ms everdeen he's a deal you leave and never come back and she's safe but make any drastic movements she's dead"he says coldly I glare at him

He loves towards rue with a knifes I'm stuck i move he kills her but I don't hell probably kill her and me

"Katniss kill him ends this I don't care what he does"rue speaks I'm stunned she's willing to sacrifice her self for this to be over, I shake my head she's not dying

'What do we do?'annabelle asks

'Im not sure"I answer

I finally get an idea probably not the best but in this postistion it's the best I've got .

I step forward and growl the force makes him fly backwards and bang his head into the bookshelf rue falls to the room but quickly scrabbles up and runs to me I push her behind me protectively

Snow stands and throws the knife in my direction growling at me trying to be scary although it's not working, I dodge the knife and step forward my bow I'm hand and shoot him in the chest

I hear a scream and turn to see rue being held up a hand over her mouth and a arm roughly around her it's a gaurd I thought I killed I panic and throw to hands up

White flashes everywhere I can't see anything I fall back hitting my head on the ground the last thing I register is rue screaming

"Katniss!"she squeals I feel a hand on my head before darkness overcomes me
