It has been what feels like forever since I posted anything on here. I think the last time I was posting and finishing stories was back in 2014/15. I miss is. Last night while I was in the shower I came up with this story from beginning to end, and I thought about just posting this on a new account but it's a Synyster Gates story, and it felt better to post it on Synysters_Wife. Are people still writing A7X stories? Are they still reading them? I feel like so many people who used to come on here are no longer here sadly.
What have all of you been up to since I last posted? Since I was last on here? I'm so happy to be back and to hear from you guys. I hope that you guys are doing well during this pandemic.
This might be a rough draft and I will be editing it at some point. I'm so excited about it.
Chapter One
I stood with my parents as the pastor started to pray, I held my hand down and tried to bite my tongue as Jimmy, my neighbor, and the son of my parent's friends was making weird little noises. He was always a goof, even in the church. He had gotten me in trouble a few times from laughing. "Amen." We all say in sync. The pastor added a few more words about the party they were going to be hosting at the church. My mother was usually the first to be there setting things up and trying to show off her famous Peach Cobbler. We all stand and start to leave, Jimmy behind me trying to get my attention. "Psst! Anna!" He whispers.
"What?" I ask turning my head to look back at him as we continued to walk.
"You going to be hosting another Aqua party?" He asked as he started singing Barbie Girl, I laugh and roll my eyes following behind my parents. He was taunting me because he knew that I liked Aqua and had hosted a "concert" with my stuffed animals and I, of course, was the singer. He was never going to let me live down that moment.
"Honey, can you go wait by the car while your father and I speak to the Sullivans?" My mom asks, I shrug my shoulders and walk over to our white Honda Accord with Jimmy following behind me.
"You might have to get a raincheck on that concert, Jimmy, I'm thinking of going to see a movie," I mention, I didn't have any plans but I didn't want him thinking that I only stayed home and sang to stuffed toys. Which, of course, I didn't do all the time, but I can't convince him of that.
"Oh yeah? Well, then I might just join you then. Are you up for a scary movie?" He asked with a brow raised. He always tried to drag me to see a horror movie, it wasn't that I was scared it was just that I wasn't into it. "Because I was thinking we go and see that new movie, Anaconda." I roll my eyes, of course, it was that movie. Every guy was into it, a giant snake that kills and eats people.
"It's Sunday, and I have school early in the morning so I wouldn't be able to stay out late." I mention, I knew that Jimmy might tease me for that since he considered me a "Goody-Two-Shoes" because I never skipped school or classes.
He laughs before speaking, "Okay then, Ms. Goody-Two-Shoes. We can go see the movie early so you don't have to miss school." He teased. Jimmy and I didn't go to the same school, my parents had put me into an all-girl Catholic school while Jimmy went to a public school. He and I were neighbors and became friends because of our parents. Although my father isn't always comfortable letting me hang out with him a lot of the time, I suppose that comes from me not only being his daughter but also being an only child.
"I'll go, we can always find something fun to do," I say with a shrug as I see both our parents walking to their cars. "I'll see you later," I say before his mother called him. We said our goodbyes and left. It didn't matter saying goodbye since we were going to see each other again once we got home.
Once in the car, I stared out the window watching buildings and trees pass as we drive through our familiar route home. My parent's voices almost seemed muted as I stared off at nothing in particular. Once entering our neighborhood I stared at all the beautiful houses before we got to ours with Jimmy's family following behind us. "What movie are you two going to see?" My mom asked as we got out of the car.
"Inventing the Abbotts." I lied knowing that my parents would never let me see a movie like Anaconda, especially my dad.
"Oh! I've been wanting to see that movie, it looks good." She gushed.
"You'll be home before 10?" My dad cut in. I nodded my head in response and quickly ran upstairs to get changed out of my church dress. I looked through my closet and pulled out a white crop top and a pastel purple and green sweater then pulled out some jeans. Dad didn't like it when I wore crop tops but Mom thought I looked cute in them so she bought them for me. I put on the clothes then grabbed my shoes and headed downstairs heading out the front door seeing Jimmy.
"Whoa! You're actually coming?" Jimmy sarcastically says opening his arms to hug me. I smile giggling and hugged him back. "Let's get going Anna Banana!" He cheered excitedly and pulled his bike out from the garage. I got on the back with him and we rode away. I always enjoyed riding on the back of his bike with him, it was fun and in a weird way also calming. The theater wasn't too far from our house which is what I loved about living where we did. Once reaching the theater Jimmy called out to his friends. I had only met them a few times, though I never had a real conversation with any of them.
"Jimmy!" One of them called out. I got off of Jimmy's bike and walked towards the three boys. "Hey, you finally got here. Oh hey, it's nice to see you again, Anna, right?" He asked. I smiled and nodded. "I'm Brian in case you forgot." He says with a smirk and a wink.
"Oh, who could forget you?" Jimmy jokes. We have a laugh then walk over to the other two boys and head into the theater. We bought our tickets and sat down together, Jimmy sat down on the left side of me while Brian sat on my right side. Jimmy kept making fun of each preview that was played, causing a lot of people to get upset at us although we all laughed.
"Shhh!!" The man in front of Jimmy turned around with an angry look on his face. I quickly looked back up at the screen and pressed my lips together trying hard not to laugh.
I sat there to the rest of the movie until it was over. We left the theater and headed next door to the arcade. We got some Icees and walked over to the air hockey table. " I bet you twenty bucks I can beat you," Matt says to Jimmy.
Jimmy laughs, "Oh you dare challenge me? You poor fool." I laugh at their silliness while Zack and Brian call next game. It was funny how competitive boys got and how serious they took little games. I walk over to the claw machines looking inside of them.
"You want me to win you one?" I turn to see Brian smiling.
I smile and shook my head 'no'. "Uh, no it's okay!" I shyly say.
"It's no big deal, I'm pretty good at these." He pulls some coins out of his pocket and puts them into the machine. I stood by watching him attempt to win a Beanie Baby. A smile pulls at my lips as he pulls out a green bear. "There you go!"
"Thank you!" I excitedly say taking the prize.
"I could always win you more," he says smiling at me. "Maybe we could come back sometime just the two of us... like a date."
"I'd like that."

I know it's slow and I might go back and edit this, but I'm just excited to have it out there. I'm happy that I'm writing again.
Tell me what you guys think!
