Supply Trip (Ellis x Childish!Reader)

~Female Reader~

It was a cold winter night, and you and the rest of the survivors were stopped at a safe house.

"Alright, so we need supplies. Who's gonna go out and get some?" Coach said, everyone forming a small circle.

"I can!" You offered. You were always the happiest and silliest in the group, even when you weren't happy or you were hurt, you still put on a smile through the pain.

"Sweetheart I'm afraid you can't go alone." Rochelle said, breaking your train of thought.

"Why not?" You asked, making a confused puppy face. You could see Ellis blush and look away.

"Because dumbass, you can't go 1 minute without falling or getting a special infected on your tail." Nick pointed out. You knew he was right, but you still persisted.

"Oh Cmon! I can do it!" You said, smiling and giggling.

"Don't worry guys, I'll go with the girly." Ellis said, winking at you. You felt your face go red and you looked at Rochelle with a 'help me' look in your eyes. Rochelle was like a mom and sister to you, she was always there when you needed her and she new what was appropriate and when.

"That sounds great! Y/n sweety, why don't you go look through your backpack to make sure you have everything you need." She said smiling. You nodded your head and rushed to your backpack upstairs.

~Ellis POV~

"Ellis you do realize what you did to the poor girl right?" Nick said. He thought for a minute, trying to think of what he could've done.

"What? What did I do to her?" He replied. He had no clue what was going on.

"Should I tell him?" Nick said, looking at Coach and Rochelle.

"Nah, lets see how their supplies adventure goes." Coach said followed by a laugh. Ellis just shook his head.

~Y/n POV~

"... supplies adventure goes." Coach said followed by a laugh. It confused you, but you ignored it. You happily jumped down the stairs and landed on the floor harshly. Everyone's heads turned toward you, and Nick even held his gun up.

"God you scared the shit out of me!" Nick exclaimed, putting his gun away.

"Heh sorry.." You said, scratching the back of your neck. An anxiety habit.

"Aight, well ima go grab my backpack and make sure I got everything before we head out." Ellis said, walking out of the room. You walked up to the little circle that was still formed and stood there.

"You really do like that kid don't you." Coach said laughing again.

"I-I do not!" You said, shying away.

"Mmhmm. What ever you say." Coach said walking away. Nick laughed and walked away as well as Ellis walked back in.

"Alright. You ready n/n?" (N/n is nick name) Ellis said, cocking his gun.

"Yup!" You said, excitedly jumping up and down. Ellis walked to the front door of the safe house and opened it. He waved you to go first, so you did. He walked out behind you.

~ time skip brought to you by my headache ~

After about 20 minutes of Ellis's wonderful stories about Keith, You and Ellis arrived at a gas station.

"Should we go in or should we skip it?" You said to Ellis, wanting to know his opinion. He grabbed your hand and you felt your face go red.

"Let's go!" He said playfully pulling you along. You started giggling and running to him. You both ran in expecting zombies, but there were none there. You both looked at eachother and shrugged, and ran in opposite directions. You found some drinks, some canned goods, and pain pills. You walked around a little more, into the back room. You pulled your gun out in case of any zombies, thankfully there was none. You walked around a bit, taking in everything, but the most you found was blood splatters and empty boxes. You walked out of the back room and into the main building again.

"Hey n/n" Ellis said looking at you. "Wanna camp here for the night?"

"Sure! Whatever is good with you!" You exclaimed, taking your backpack off. Ellis walked up to you and took his backpack off as well. You set your backpacks down in the corner of the store, and both sat down in front of the door.

"So, did we bring any blankets?" Ellis asked concerningly.

"Awh shit. We forgot blankets." You said, facepalming. Ellis laughed a little bit and stood back up.

"Gimmie a second." He said, getting up and walking through the isles. You watched him the whole time, walking through all the isles. He knelt down and grabbed what you assumed was a box, and stood back up, walking over to you. "So I found what I was lookin for-" He said, pointing at the box he picked up. The box read 'Air Matress- Blow up ready'. You smiled and cheer in victory as he sat down and started to open the box.

~ yet another time skip cause I'm lazy ~

Since you didn't want to make any loud noise, you took turns blowing it up manually. After you finally finished, you quickly closed the cap and breathed in and out harshly.

"We did it!" You exclaimed.

"Yes ma'am we did." He said chuckling. You could tell he was tired because instead of his normal goofy laugh it was a deep, controlled one. You have had a crush on him for... hmmm.... at least 5 months now. So this laugh... it killed you. Your face turned red but you laughed like it was nothing. Ellis sat on the matress and you walked around to see if there were any blankets. Sadly, this was a generally small gas station, so there was one blanket left (out of an already small selection). You grabbed it and ran back over to Ellis. You unwrapped it and set it on Ellis, as he was laying down. "You found a blanket? Hell yeah!" He said, sitting up and looking at you.

"Yup!" You said, giggling. "So... Where should I sleep?" You questioned.

"Well this mattress is big enough to fit both of us, don't ya think?" Ellis said, smiling.

"Well alright!! Just stay on your side." You said laughing and sticking your tongue out teasingly. You plopped down and sighed. Ellis had spread his arms across the matress, almost all the way across your side. You layed down, Ellis's arm under your neck, and just stayed there for a bit. It felt nice to be just relaxing. Though, it being winter, it was pretty cold. Since you had put the blanked on Ellis, all you had were your clothes to warm you, so you were shivering a little.

~Narrator POV~

Ellis noticed y/n shaking a bit, when he realized she didn't have a blanket.

"Oh shit y/n I'm sorry!" Ellis said, bringing up the blanket across both of them when he realized, the blanket was too small to fit across both of them.

"Ellis it's ok, then blankets too small you can have it!" Y/n said kindly, turning to face Ellis. He shook his head no and put the blanket off the mattress on Y/n's side.

"Just wait." Ellis said, shuffling a bit. He removed his arm from under y/n's head and put it under a pillow. He wrapped his other arm around y/n's waist and pulled her closer to him. He managed to grab the blanket and put it over the both of them, fitting perfectly. Y/n's cheeks were red as could be, as Ellis kissed her cheek and whispered "Goodnight princess." into her ear. Ellis pulling y/n closer to him, they both fell asleep peacefully.
