The Next Morning
I woke up anxious, today was Saturday so I usually went to the bar to hang out. But then I started to think what if the Hendry's were there?
I got up and immediately got a head rush, I guess I was laying down for too long. It was a bad one so I had to sit down until it ended.
Standing once again I walked into the bathroom and got ready for a shower. Showers always relax me, every single time without fail.
The steaming hot water loosened my tense joints. If I'm stressed I take a shower, that's just how things go around here. People say cold showers are better for you, but I could care less.
Cold showers supposedly help your skin, hair, and decrease CO2 levels. They also say it makes you more alert, but who wants to be alert in the shower?
You wanna know what hot showers do? They ease anxiety and that's what matters, ok! Most of all it feels good.
Are you going to lie to me and say hot showers don't feel amazing?
BANG
BANG
BANG
I turned off the shower while groaning, who is disrupting my precious shower. Wrapping a. towel around my body I left the bathroom.
"One second", I yelled. I pulled on a sweatshirt and some sweatpants that were lying around my room.
I opened the door and was shocked to see Victoria and her family standing in front of me. Dante pushed past me and jumped onto my couch.
"Nice place you've got", Atlas said walking in and taking a seat next to Dante.
"H-how did you get here", I asked moving out of the way for the rest of them to come in. Alessandro scoffed.
"Well we went to all the apartment buildings around the bar and eventually we got here. That landlord you have wasn't to keen on giving up your room number, but a little persuasion never hurt anybody", Victoria said placing herself on my couch.
"Oh...um..ok", I said. "What do you need that was so important you needed to come to my house", I questioned.
"well we just had some questions to ask", Dante said cutting off Mateo.
"THEY had some questions", Alessandro exclaimed sourly. I guess he doesn't want to be here, well too bad because I don't want you to be here.
"Ahh, lighten up old man", Mateo said earning himself a glare from Alessandro. I chuckled before walking further into the house.
"Well what do you want to know", I asked.
"Why are you living alone", Victoria asked. I didn't bother lying because it didn't get me very far at the bar.
"Because I want to", I told her.
"Where are your parents", Atlas asked. I hardened my face at the mention of my parents. Don't show any emotion.
"They died". It was silent for a moment before Dante told me, "I'm sorry for your loss".
Welp, sorry isn't going to bring them back", I told him coldly.
Why were they really here? Why did they care so much? Just leave me alone we are nothing more than business partners.
"Why are you here", I asked defensively.
"Because we are concerned", Victoria said standing up trying to touch me. I backed away from her, not trusting her all of a sudden.
"I have given you no reason to be concerned for me. You come to my house to interrogate me, I don't need to tell you anything! I would it if you left my house and did not contact me unless it if for business purposes only", I told her. I walked over to the door and held it open, a sign for them to leave.
"We didn't mea-", Dante started.
"Please leave", I stated coldly.
They hesitated but gave in to my wishes and left. I let out a breath of relief when they all left. I slammed the door closed in anger and frustration. I stomped into my room and put on a random outfit for the day.
What right do they have to question me about my choices?
Was I being unreasonable with my choices? I mean all they did was just ask about your parents?
I pulled out my phone with the intention of calling Walter, but I decided to wait until I was ready to leave.
Walking into the kitchen I grabbed a small tote bag and filled it with my necessities. I put in a sprite, fruit snacks, an apple, water bottle, and last but not least some doritos. My favorite snack, I grabbed my phone and called Walter ready to leave.
"Hello"
"Hi, I'm on my way to the bar right now"
"Ok, anything you need me to do"
"No, I'm just there to hang out"
"Ok, well bye"
"Bye"
I hung up and left my room. Walking down the hall I decided to use the stairs to make things more interesting.
