The trio sat in their normal seats and watched the sorting. Once again, the first years were mainly sorted into Gryffindor, quite a few were sorted into Hufflepuff, a good number were sorted into Slytherin, and five of them were sorted into Ravenclaw. Five. Most Ravenclaws weren't even that smart, all the smartest students were sorted into every house except Ravenclaw. Excluding June of course. Of course, the Gryffindor traits were traits everybody has. Everybody has a bit of bravery in them so the hat puts them in Gryffindor. People are only really sorted into the other houses if they either want to be in a different house or the sorting hat accidentally overlooked their bravery. June still remembered the moment she was sorted as though it were yesterday.

"Black, Sirius," the stern looking woman called. A boy with shaggy black hair shakily walked up. She placed the hat on his head and it fell over his eyes, you could barely see his the tip of his nose. All the students waited five minutes before the hat shouted:

"Gryffindor!" He excitedly ran over to the table of red and gold and sat among some older kids. He was the third to be sorted.

"Beauregard, Evangeline," the woman called and June confidently strode up to the stool, though she was sure everyone could see her shaking in fright.

"Ah, another Beauregard, I know just what to do with you," the hat said.

"I don't want to be in Gryffindor though. All of my family is very rude and arrogant and I don't want to be like them," she said. The hat paused for just a second.

"You don't want to be in Gryffindor? But that's where everyone wants to go!" The hat tried to reason, June simply shook her head.

"No thanks, is there any where I else I would fit in?" She asked.

"Not Gryffindor? Then better be-" The hat took a deep breath.

"Ravenclaw!" It shouted and the hat was taken off of her head. She walked over to the smallest table which was filled with blue and silver. They were all cheering. For her, nobody had ever done that. That was when June realized she found the place she belonged.

"Welcome to Ravenclaw, Evangeline. I'm the Ravenclaw Head Boy, Michael. Michael Beck," a seventeen year old said, sticking his hand out. June shook it eagerly.

"I never really liked Evangeline, I go by June," she said, and that's how it all started. A short girl with auburn hair that went just past her shoulders with evergreen eyes, round glasses, and freckles all across her small nose, became known as June. June, girl with brains and beauty. She was the Belle of Hogwarts.

June sighed as she remembered that day. Suddenly, the last child sat on the stool. The hat fell over her eyes and she had black hair that went to her elbows. After a few minutes she was officially sorted.

"Ravenclaw!" The hat shouted and the small table cheered loudly. The girl saw June waving her over and she sat next to her and Lori.

"Hello. I'm June. Female Prefect of Ravenclaw. And this is Lori next to me. What's your name?" June asked. The girl had extremely clear skin and light brown eyes.

"I'm Valerie Zrae," the girl answered quietly.

"Are your parents magical?" Lori asked and Valerie nodded.

"They were both in Gryffindor. They'll be so disappointed in me. They said, 'If you're not in Gryffindor you're a disappointment!' Does that mean I'm a disappointment, June?" She asked and all the Ravenclaws that heard quickly shook their heads.

"Of course not, Valerie. Ravenclaw is the best house! We're the smartest house and most understanding. Hufflepuff is very kind so I'd recommend befriending some of them. Gryffindors are arrogant, mean, they're the house with the most bullies. And Slytherins also bully people, though there are a few good ones. But you already have lots of friends. All Ravenclaws are immediately friends with all Ravenclaws. It's the way Rowena Ravenclaw believed it should be so we keep it going. If you need any help, come find a Ravenclaw." June explained and all of the older Ravenclaws nodded.
