Chapter 4

(Skip the week Morgan is gone)

~Miranda's POV~

While Morgan has been gone, he's FaceTimed Skyla and I almost everyday. Skyla absolutely loved it. I have to say I'm catching feelings for Morgan. Today, Morgan is coming back here to Texas for two weeks. He rented an Airbnb so he would be more comfortable for two whole weeks. It's a Friday and Skyla is actually sleeping in.

I crawled out of bed. It was 8:00. Morgan was already on the plane. I took a quick shower and threw on some clothes. I grabbed my vlog camera and started to vlog. I grabbed the monitor and went downstairs and made myself a cup of coffee. As soon as I sat down, Skyla was calling me. I walked upstairs with the camera and pointed it at her. When I turned on the light she had a sleepy smile and rubbed her little eyes.

"Goodmorning honey," I said to her.

"Morgan," she whined.

That's all she's been asking for lately is Morgan. She's only seen him once and that's all she wants. I had to make sure I cut this out since him and I aren't official nor do I even know if he has feelings for me.

"He'll be here tomorrow," I said to her setting the camera down.

"Yay!" She cheered.

"Are you so excited?"

"Yeah yeah yeah!"

I giggled at her cuteness and finished up changing her. Thankfully, I took a shower earlier so I wouldn't have to worry about it later. I put her down and started to record her carefully walking down the steps. Bo came running up and licking her almost making her fall down. I shooed him away so she can carefully make it down. I grabbed my coffee and took it to the kitchen. Skyla and Bo followed me. I sat Skyla into her high chair and gave her some grapes I had already cut up for her. I made her some eggs and cut her up some jelly toast. I made me some breakfast and I sat down with her and ate.

"Good!" She yelled shoving the food in her mouth.

I smiled at her and kissed her forehead taking my plate to the sink. I sighed and told the vlog today was going to be a cleaning vlog. Once Skyla was done eating it was 10:00. I brought some toys into the kitchen for her to play and Bo went and laid down on the couch. I started cleaning up her high chair and started washing the dishes. I filled up the dishwasher and ran that and washed everything that couldn't go in. Once I was done, I wiped down all of the counters and the table. I tidied up the kitchen and checked on Skyla. She was still playing with her toys. I decided to sweep and mop the kitchen since there wasn't anything else to do today. Once I was done, I got a phone call from Morgan.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Hey I just landed," he said.

"Okay good."

"Do you think I could come today?"

"I don't see a problem with that."

"Okay good. Let me get to the house and unpack a little and I'll be over."

"Okay sounds good."

I smiled and hung up. Butterflies overtook my stomach once more. Skyla started to get a little sleepy so I took her into the living room to watch some TV. She was really into Peppa Pig at the moment so I cut that on. As soon as she settled down and watched a few minutes of the show she drifted off into sleep. I knew if I tried to move her she would wake right up. So I covered her up with a blanket and went into my office. I explained to the vlog that I'm editing up a video to upload. Once I was almost done editing the video, the doorbell rung. I got up and walked to the door.

"Hey," I whispered to Morgan. "Skyla's sleeping in the living room and I'm editing a video. If you would like to join me you can. I'm almost done."

"For sure," he smiled hugging me.

He followed me into my office and I sat down at my desk. He sat in the chair in front of my desk.

"Very girly," he laughed.

"It's my office so," I laughed back at him.

"I didn't know you wore glasses," he said looking at me.

I realized I didn't put my contacts in today.

"Oh yeah," I smiled. "I've had glasses since I was in seventh grade."

"You look absolutely adorable in them," he smirked.

"Why thank you," I said finally uploading the video.

Once it was done, I shut the computer off. I decided to just not worry about the vlog today since I haven't seen Morgan in over a week.

"We can go out back on the patio if you want," I offered.

He smiled and nodded and got up. I made us some sweet tea to drink and checked in Skyla. She was still out. I walked with Morgan out back and we took a seat.

"So," he started off. "How about we go on a date?"

I was shocked just hearing that question.

"Um yeah," I agreed. "When?"

"How about tomorrow night?"

"Okay I can call my mom to watch Skyla for me."

"Sounds good."

I smiled at him. He smiled back.

"You have a really nice place," he said looking at the big backyard.

"I'm telling you it was everything I was looking for," I said.

He let out a chuckle. I could hear Skyla crying from inside.

"I'll be right back," I said to Morgan. "I have to change her diaper as well."

I went inside and got Skyla and just decided to change her diaper down here since I had the stuff to. Once I was done, I threw the diaper away and put her down. She noticed Morgan out back. I opened the door for her and she ran straight to him.

"Skyla!" He yelled picking her up.

"Morgan!" She said hugging his neck tight.

I smiled at the two. I walked over to my seat and she just sat with us since she just woke up. Once she was ready, she went off to play with her toys outside. After a little bit of small talk and lots of playing with Skyla, Morgan decided to leave to get some rest. He told me to dress fancy and he'll be here around 7 to pick me up tomorrow night. He gave me and Skyla a hug goodbye and went on his way. I instantly called my mom.

"Hello?" She answered the phone.

"Morgan asked me on a date for tomorrow night!" I yelled into the phone. "So can you please watch Skyla?"

"Of course I can watch her!"

"I'm just so nervous! It's my first official date since I even had Skyla. And he told me to dress fancy. Ugh mom I'm so nervous!"

"Don't be! Everything will turn out fine!"

" I hope so! Well can you be here around 5 tomorrow?"

"I sure can. I love you."

"I love you mom."

We hung up and Skyla was asking me for dinner. I sighed and made her some dinner. Tomorrow night was going to be so nerve wracking.
