The man takes Raven away in the wheelchair and all I want to do is knock him out and run with her in my arms. And try to find an antidote. I just hope I can find one in time. The man doesn't know this but I've been going out at night since our tent is at the edge of this camp that we are in. I've been searching and searching for an antidote to the poison she has running through her veins. I know what it's called at least, the doctors said it had the name of "Anthrax". They said that it must have been on the lining of the belt that the man was whipping her with.

I wipe the tear that is rolling down my cheek with my sweatshirt. I feel like I'm going to explode from all the emotions inside of me. All I want is for Raven to survive. I know her though, she's a fighter, she always is. I love her so much and I don't know what I would do if I ever lost her.

I sit back down on the bed and think for a minute. I think about the times Raven and I have almost lost each other, how each time we were there for each other, how each time one of us saved the other. I can't count how many times we have made it through the tough times together. Like when she got shot, the second time, or the first time she listened to me. She trusts me and I could never imagine betraying that trust. And I'm not going to start now, I'm going to get her, and we are getting out of here.

I pack a bag, making sure to grab the medical supplies, clothes, some food that we saved, and lots of water. I grab the weapons that Raven and I have made with raw materials, I put a few knifes in a pocket of my cargo pants and place one in my left hand. I put the bag over my shoulder and grab the rest of our stuff. I look out of the tent door flap, that is made of a green fabric. I see more tents, a few guards, and Raven, through the flap of another tent. She looks lifeless, but I know she is just unconscious from the sedative that the man gave her, I hope.

I make a run for that tent, going around, making sure no guards see me. I peek into the tent that Raven is in. There is one guard watching her and one guard outside guarding the tent.

I charge in and knock the guard watching Raven out as quietly as I can. Raven is still knocked out. I keep the knife in my hand and wheel her out the way I came in.

When we are far enough away from the camp, I start running, pushing Raven as fast as I can. The doctors came up with an antidote for her wounds, but they warned me that she could get a lot worse before she gets better. They gave it to me when I went to the Medical tent before trying to escape. Raven was asleep when the man came. I haven't given her the medicine yet because I didn't want her to feel worse and get upset.

I find a cave deep in the forest, just like home.

I pick Raven up out of her wheel chair, she is still asleep, and I hope that that is all she is. I lay her down with a blanket pillow beneath her head. I pull a blanket over her and let her rest. I take her pulse, she is still alive. I exhale a sigh of relief. I get up and fold Raven's wheel chair. I place it up against the stone cave wall. I light a torch and stick it in the ground, keeping it in control.

"Josh? Where are we?" Raven asks.

"We're in a cave, far away from the camp. You alright?" I ask.

"Yeah, just sore. I have a pounding headache, but other than that I'm fine."

"How's your back?"

"Hurts like hell." She laughs and smiles a painful smile.

"Well I may have a way to fix that and keep you from dying. The doctors from the Medical tent gave me the antidote before I escaped with you, but I will warn you that they said that you will feel worse before you feel better."

"I don't care, anything is better than dying." She says laughing hysterically.

"You just need to remember to stay down and listen to me when I say that you won't be able to move for at least a week. We have the wheel chair so I can transport you if needed, but otherwise we need to keep a low profile and I'm gonna try to find the city, so we shouldn't starve."

"That's good. So, are we going to get this over with or what?"

"Yeah." I say. I help her sit up, and take off her shirt. The black vein has almost reached her heart. I get the lotion and start to apply it to the wounds. Raven hisses in pain, she grabs my free hand and squeezes. I squeeze back, letting her know that I'm here for her.

I twist the lid on the bottle, closing it. I apply the gauze and wrap it up. I take Raven's head lightly in my hand and help her lay back down. She kisses me and I embrace her. I lay down next to her and put my head over hers. She leans into me. I kiss her on the forehead and after a while she is motionless and I can tell she is asleep. I close my eyes, glad to have her back. I fall asleep almost immediately after that.
