Chapter Seventeen: Raven

I have a little girl growing inside of me. Little baby Remi. I'm so excited to meet her, so is Josh.

Josh and I are at the store getting all the baby stuff that we need to set up the nursery and to pack the hospital bag and just need in general. Josh went to the foodstuff, I'm still in the baby things. I grab bottles and a bag that seems like it will fit everything that we need for the hospital. I grab diapers and blankets and a few stuffed animals, little play toys, and a bunch of other things that I know we'll need. I walk out of the baby aisle and go into the stuff I need; I grab some prenatal vitamins and some other feminine products. I grab some Tide and baby-proofing things to baby proof the house. I go towards the food aisle to find Josh. I grab some chocolate and bananas while I'm walking around.

I find Josh next to the deli meats. I put all the items in my cart in his and walk over and kiss him. He acts surprised and I laugh as he closes his eyes and kisses me back. I let go and start pushing the cart to the check outline.

"Do we need anything else?" I ask.

"I don't think so," Josh answers. We walk into lane five and wait.

I can't breathe, I'm laughing so hard. Josh made a joke and I can't stop laughing. Josh is laughing but trying to keep focused on the road as well. We're almost home.

Josh pulls into the driveway and into the garage. I get out and pull the bags of groceries out of the back seat and start to walk towards the back door, Josh walking behind me. I walk into the door and to the kitchen. I put the cold stuff into the fridge and start to put the other things away. I walk upstairs to Josh's and mine bathroom and put all my stuff under the sink. Josh comes up behind me and puts his arms around my waist.

"What do you say we go into the bedroom?" Josh says, kissing my neck. I chuckle. I turn around and kiss him on the lips.

"Sure," I answer. I take hold of Josh's hand and lead him into our room and close and lock the door behind me. Josh picks me up and pins me against the door, he starts kissing me on the neck, moving up to my lips, I smile as I feel his warm breath on my lips. He carries me to the bed and lays me down on our comforter. I take his shirt off and throw it to the side. I want to freeze this moment in time and just lay with Josh forever.

I get up and put my pants on. I walk around the bed, open the door, and walk into the hallway. I walk down the stairs to find Belle and Qwin watching the tv, they keep their eyes on the tv when I reach the landing and walk down the one step at the bottom of the landing.

"What are you guys watching?" I ask.

"Some show called Queer Eye, its really cool," Qwin answers.

"Cool, you mind if I join you?" I say, sitting down in the chair.

"Of course," Qwin says.

"Thanks," I say. I sit down in between Qwin and Belle. Josh comes down the stairs and him and I make eye contact and smile at each other. He comes and sits down next to me and kisses me on the forehead, we sit there and watch tv for the rest of the afternoon.

I wake up to the day light shinning in my face, Josh laying asleep next to me. I kiss him on the cheek, and he smiles, his eyes still closed.

"Good morning." Josh says, kissing me. I press myself against him, enjoying the feeling of his warmth. He sits up and I move with him, I giggle, and he pins me against my pillow and my side of the bed, we continue kissing for like an hour.

I get out of bed and get in the shower. I get out and overhear Josh talking to Qwin and Belle, asking them to leave him and me alone tonight. I stop listening after that because I feel like he is planning a surprise. I walk into our room and look in the closet for a maternity dress. I find a stripped one and put it on, I put my hair in a bun and walk downstairs. Belle and Qwin are sitting on the couch, Josh is sitting in the chair. I sit in between Belle and Qwin, we watch the television for a while.
