"Stop it! It's not funny!" Yelled Mercy.
The boys had pulled out her hair ribbons and were tossing them around. They would usually be my friends, but when the do this I pretend I don't know them.
"Isadora! Wanna join?" Asked Caleb.
I rolled my eyes and turned back to my journal. I was the only kid in the whole first grade that didn't participate in recess. If we got a grade I would have an F. I'm either reading or writing, never actually doing exercise.
By the way I'm Isadora. My friends are Caleb, Malic, Atlas, and my only girl friend Antonia. Oh then there's my brother Abner. We're twins, but completely different. He's athletic and I'm a nerd. He'd rather kick a ball around and I'd rather have my nose in a book. He is, sadly, apart of my group of friends too.
The bell rang and I quickly wrote the rest of my last sentence. I closed my note book and ran to the door.
My red hair swag rigorously behind me as I ran, and stopped as soon as I found the line. I got on my tip toes to see where Antonia was. She has the brightest blonde hair in my grade, so she's not that hard to spot. There was no sight of her in the front. Disappointed I got off my toes and sighed. We were about to go into the school when I felt two hands on my shoulders.
"Hey Antonia." I said smiling.
"Hey. Keep going. Oh, I wanted to tell you. Have you met the new kid?"
"No," I said uninterested.
She put on a look of utter surprise. "Well, you should. I think you would like him."
I laughed. "Funny. You know the only people I like are you and the boys."
Antonia sighed. I never met the new guy and had no interest.
