When I saw him

Movie Night

"I am not watching that!" Yelled Abner.

"Yes you are, little brother. I mean not if you want to sit in the living room while we have fun," I teased.

Abner's face was red, and kept getting redder. "I'm not your little brother! We're twins!" He argued.

"You popped out 3 minutes after I did. I'm older." I said crossing my arms.

He stared at me for a while, but eventually walked to the kitchen mumbling.

"Where the heck is Caleb!?" Yelled Atlas. He held his phone to his ear again looking impatient.

"Maybe he doesn't feel I comin'" I mumbled as I picked at my finger nails.

"What the matter with you?" Asked Atlas surprised still holding the phone to his ear. "He never misses movie night. And ever since lunch you've had nothing to do with Caleb. He wasn't even the one to mention you know what." He said glancing over to Antonia.

"Shut up Atlas, or I'll tell everybody about your toe," threatened Antonia.

"Show the toe!" Chanted Malich.

Atlas's face got red with embarrassment. He just looked down and dialed Caleb's number again. He stood for a while with the phone to his ear.

"Dude! Finally! Are you coming tonight?" Asked Atlas.

Silence.

"What do you mean, 'you don't know'!? You always come."

More silence.

"Why?"

Silence. Atlas looked up at me.

"Noo," he said stretching out the word.

"Yes!" He said punching his fist in the air. "We'll see you in five."

He hung up and strode over proudly.

"He's coming and bringing Blake," he said winking at me. "You're welcome."

I completely deflated and rolled my eyes. "I hate you," I said calmly.

He just winked at me again. And leaped over the couch to turn the TV on, as soon as it turned on a football game came on.

"Yes!" Screamed Malic running over, also jumping over the couch.

"Noo," Antonia cried in despair putting her head in her hands.

It wasn't long till they were all screaming, at the TV, things I didn't understand.

"You know I don't know how that's entertaining," I said to Antonia and Adri. They both laughed.

It wasn't long after that the door swung open and Caleb and Blake came through the door.

"Hey! Look who showed up!" Yelled Abner.

"Yeah, yeah. Just start the stupid movie," replied Caleb.

As they talked Blake made his way over to the girls and me. He walked past us and grabbed a soda. He walked back over and leaned against the counter.

"You know I don't get the whole thing about sports. I mean watching them is really boring," he said. I looked up at him astonished.

"You don't like sports?" Antonia asked.

"Not watching them, no," he stated.

"Your coolness level just went up," said Adri.

"Movie time!" Yelled Abner. I rolled my eyes, but got up anyways to put the movie in. When I got up and turned around every seat on the couch was taken. I looked at at Atlas, who was in my seat, and gave him a death stare.

"You're in my seat, and you know it." I said.

"I don't know what you're talking about," he said smirking.

I narrowed my eyes at him and plopped on the ground. I tried to sit on Adri's feet but I couldn't see the TV, so I was forced to sit in between Anotnia and Malich's feet. Right beside Blake.

I kept my eyes on the screen hoping not to have interact with him. Soon the movie started and I relaxed.

The movie played on with Ariel's voice projecting from the TV. Although the movie was a classic, I could hear snoring behind me after Part of Your World ended. I looked behind and Abner was sound asleep with his head on Caleb's shoulder. When I turned back to watch Blake leaned over and whispered on my ear, "I love Little Mermaid, but as for your brother," he laughed. "I don't know about him."

I couldn't help but laugh. I leaned over and replied, "He falls asleep at every movie we watch. We could be watching Scream and before the first person is dead, it's lights out."

I turned back to the movie and continued watching. When the movie ended Caleb got up letting Abner's head fall hard on the couch. I checked the time on my phone. 4:30. I've got two hours, I thought to myself.

"Well, we've got two hours until me and bed head over there have to leave. What do you guys wanna do?" I asked.

"I wanna drive around," replied Adri.

I looked around and every one was shrugging in agreement.
