Antonia's POV:
I ran into the woods after Isadora and spent what felt like forever looking for her.

"Isadora!" I yelled. "Is!"

There was no answer. I sighed and looked at my watch. 6:15. I had to be home by 6:30, so I can't spend the rest of the night out here looking for her. I pulled in a sharp breath. Isadora can't be late either! She's been at this streak of always being on time, following the rules. The perfect child.

"Is, it's 6:15! You can't be late getting home!" Before I even finished I heard rustling in the leaves. She was running hard and fast. Luckily I ran track so I could catch up with her.

After a couple of seconds I found her red hair wiping up and down behind her. I crossed over to her over a log and a creek in one jump. Running faster and faster I caught up to her and grabbed her arm, but she just kept running. Eventually I tripped over a rock and pulled her down with me. I fell on the ground and knocked the air out of me. I heaved on the ground and it seem like I couldn't get any air in my lungs. Using my instincts I sat up and put my hands above my head. Still couldn't breath. I finally decided either Isadora nor I could do anything. I fell on the ground heaving. Then it all went black.

I woke up in a white room and a hospital bed under me. There was someone holding my hand so tight I thought it might fall off.

"Where- where am I?" I asked sounding parched.

"Oh my gosh!" I heard a familiar voice gasp. "Mrs. Ceile! Mrs. Ceile! She's a awake!"

Who was calling for my mom? Everything was so muffled I couldn't pick out the voice. I look over at the clock on the bedside table.
September 16 4:30. I groan and lean my head back. I've been out of school for three days! Man, that's a lot of dang homework.

The hand gripped my hand again, but this time it squeezed harder.

"Ow! Shiz!" I yelled as her freshly cut nails dug into my skin. The only person I know who will clip her nails while stressed or worried is Isadora.

"Sorry, sorry, sorry-"

"Shhhhh." I said holding my hand to her face. "My brain hurts." I pointed to my head. I heard her laugh. And after what just happened it felt like a weight lifted off me.

I sat up in the bed, which took FOREVER! My head hurt, which made my whole body feel like crap, also from laying in a bed for three days. I looked around at everyone in the room. My grandparents, mom, and Isadora.

"Where's my dad?" I asked curiously. I knew he was on a business trip, but he I would have thought he would come back for his only daughter in a minor coma.

"He's not coming today, sweet heart. He's more interested in his success with his client," my mom answered

"That bastard," I mutter.
