Kenny's POV:

It's been a few weeks since we were told that we were pregnant and would be bringing a child into this world, which we were over the moon about. We have been quite busy with everything from Dolly's frequent morning sickness to being at the studio, recording demos and getting new material lined up, mostly me, but Dolly is my inspiration for everything I do and so is our little one growing inside of her.

Today, we were going to the studio for me to record a new album, but I told our producers I won't be touring for awhile, unless Dolly can go with me. She agreed to go with me, but she would have to take it easy as our doctor requested us to do.

I was in the kitchen, making breakfast and reading the newspaper when Dolly walked in with Popeye and Lola on either side of her.

"I think Popeye and Lola know about the baby."

"That's because we told them about their new little brother or sister."

"What if they get jealous?" Dolly asked as I wrapped my arms around her.

"They won't be."

"It's gonna be a shock to the studio today."

"And tomorrow, our family."

"I'm just hoping this morning sickness kinda clears up soon. I love our baby, but this gettin' up in the wee hours of every morning to empty the contents of yesterday's meals out is just getting plumb tiring."

"Our doctor said that's the baby's way of tellin' us he or she is real excited about meeting us."

"Or not liking the things I eat and crave."

"I can't wait to see your belly."

"You've already seen it."

"I mean as our baby grows."

"Speaking of baby, I have to go use the restroom again. Hold it down in there, please?" Dolly told our baby as she walked upstairs to use the restroom.

"I love her." I told myself out loud.

Dolly's POV:

As I finished using the restroom, I washed my hands and walked out as I heard Kenny talking on the phone to someone.

"I thought those duets were with Dolly?" He asked

"Me?" I questioned as I listened in on what he was saying.

"I know that, but I have a good reason for it.''

"What are they saying?" I asked as I just walked away and went back downstairs.

...

A little while later, we were at the studio after breakfast as Kenny and I were talking to our managers when none other than Sheena Easton walked in.

"Hello Sheena."

"Hi. How are you?"

"Doing great! It seems unreal that I get to do a duet with Kenny Rogers himself." She said as I walked over to Kenny.

"That's who you're singing with?" I asked Kenny as I felt a little jealous that another woman was singing with my husband instead of me.

"Honey, I know that it's not who you wanted, but it'll be alright."

"I can already tell, I'm not flattered with you singin' with her." I said as I walked off to sit at the table with the sound board and beside of my producer and best friend.

"Dolly, it will be alright.''

"Why does he have to sing with her?''

"I like her."
