Chapter 9: Double Date Night: Part One

Kenny's POV:

As I lay here dreaming, I feel and hear Dolly waking up beside of me as I hear her groan. Although, we're battling awful morning sickness right now, I still love my lady more than anybody else here on this earth.

"Hmm... Baby, what's wrong?" I ask her as I wake up.

"I don't feel so hot."

"Let me go make you some tea real quick."

"Honey?"

"Yeah?"

"You still love me, right?"

"I will always love you. Morning sickness is just temporary, but loving you is always forever." I said as I kissed her and made sure she did not have a fever.

"I will always love you too." She managed a small smile.

"I'll grab a cold wash rag while I'm down there too."

"I'm ready to cure this."

"I'll be back." I kiss her forehead.

...

I fix her tea and wet a wash rag as I heard foot steps along with our fur babies as she came in and sat down.

"I hate morning sickness!" Knowing she had thrown up already, it hits without even a warning.

"The doctor said it's good for you."

"Oh, what does she know. Has she ever gone through this before?"

"I know that's just your mood swings talking." I said as I know that was not something Dolly usually said.

"Another thing honey, if I don't feel any better by this afternoon, then we'll have to reschedule our date night."

"You mean double date?"

"Yeah. I know Loretta is lookin' forward to it.''

"Their little one sure keeps them on their toes."

"Lisa is three now and she's one little spit fire ball of energy."

"I know! Try keeping up with her at the park."

"You and Loretta do a fine job."

"She's got little legs, but she's faster than lightening."

"Mhmm... That she is. Do you think our little one will be like that?"

"I believe they will be. I'm just 'bout positive they'll have my energy, ya know, once I gain it all back." She said as I laughed.

"I hope they have your energy, spirit and the way you look at things."

"If we have a son, I want him to look just like you."

"I want that too, but with our daughter to look just like her mommy."

"I'm just lettin' God choose what we have because I want both."

"What if we had twins?"

"Lord honey, we asked Dr. Brown that already. She did an ultrasound and all."

"There could be a chance." I said as I wrapped my arms around to her backside.

"Plus, I would have already been showing by now."

"You kinda already are."

"I seen that. Oh honey, this is gonna be one exciting adventure."

"I agree with you. What do you say we go take a nice bath?"
