Chrollo x Kurapika (fanfic)

~ Chapter 1 ~

"Hey Kurapika I think you should give up your revenge on the Phantom Troupe, and instead look for the Scarlet Eyes.", Gon said. Kurapika had been thinking about what Gon had said " I mean there's always another time to go after the troupe maybe I should just focus on finding the eyes of my clan", Kurapika thought. Kurapika had been in thought for so long that he didn't notice that it was starting to get dark outside.

~Kurapika's POV~

I had been so deep in thought that I didn't realize that it had gotten dark outside. I grabbed my book that I had been reading, and started my way down the tree that I had climbed earlier. Once I've made it all the way down the tree I decided to head on back to the apartment I had been staying in.

Once I made it back to my apartment complex I headed straight to my door not wanting to disturb anyone that was living around me. I entered my house noticing that nothing had changed. I was slightly relieved that nothing had been stolen since didn't live in one of the most luxurious apartments.Matter of fact it was pretty much a dump. The wallpaper had been ripped off, and there were holes in the walls that had probably come from a shotgun, honestly. I could go on and on about just how much of a dump this place actually was.

~Chrollo's POV~

I had just got done saying my goodbyes to the troupe. Some were sad and others well someone (Hisoka) didn't even care. I shrugged it off though knowing that that's just how he is. I sigh knowing that I would never be able to understand him. I mean it's easy for me to read any other persons mind including most of my troupe members, but when it comes to him I just don't know what goes through that clowns mind.

My mind slowly drifts off thinking about what I should do next since I wont be around the troupe for a while. Then my mind stops on particular person The chain user "Kurapika" I think was his name was. Wait why am I thinking about that crazy bastard. I mean he is kinda cute to me. Weird right? If you didn't look at him too close you would have probably thought he was a girl. He still is an enemy no matter what his gender is,  but I can't shake off the feeling that I might actually like that son of a bitch. Why? I couldn't tell you that. I looked at my clock and saw that it read 1:25 am I decided that I should probably get some shut eye since it was already so late at night. Maybe I should go and see what he's up too. No that's crazy, but is it really.

~Kurapika's POV~

I had just woken up and was ready to start my adventure *stomach growls*, but first let's have some breakfast. I didn't really have much for breakfast it was just the same thing I ate most of the time which was instant noodles and a glass of water. I didn't really like coffee that much it was too bitter tasting for me, and orange juice was no different I didn't really like the taste of orange juice it was too sour tasting to me and it also had a bitter taste that I didn't care for. You could probably call me picky if you really wanted too.

I had just finished my breakfast and was ready to set off on my journey. Last night I had done some research on where I could find them and I got a hint on where I could find the 3 pairs of eyes, but this one was going to be tricky. It was in a museum called, "Ningen hakubutsukan." I knew I couldn't do this alone, but I also knew no one who would be able to help me. Leorio was busy doing studies at med school, Gon was off doing who knows what with Killua. I didn't know who would be able to help me. I mean I can do good on my own, but for a job like this I knew that I needed someone else with me. I was so aggravated, but like on cue or something like that there was a knock on my door. "Who could that be so early in the morning", I thought,

Kurapika slowly walked slowly over to the door, but once he reached out his hand to turn the doorknob he stopped. He noticed that the aura of the person on the other side of the door was very powerful. He then decided to back away from the door and instead shout out to the person at the door, "who is it?", he said. There was nothing but silence for a few seconds, but then the person on the other side of the door began to talk, "it's a surprise just open the door." Kurapika then froze in place when he heard there voice he immediately got into a defensive stance and released his nen.  "Go away Chrollo!!" Kurapika said eyes burning a shade of red.

"Now why would I do that.", Chrollo said with a smirk. He then asked "can you open the door please." Kurapika's once again said, "Go away!" Chrollo then sighed knowing that the only way he was ever going to get in was by using force. "If you don't want your door broken down I suggest you open it. I'm not here to hurt you I'm just here to talk." Kurapika didn't buy it for a second, but he also didn't want the door broken down either. He sighed and then slowly unlocked the door and Chrollo stepped in. "Well that was so hard." Chrollo said sarcastically. Kurapika was still in his stance and Chrollo noticed it and put his hands up in defeat saying, "I come in peace." Kurapika still wasn't sure, but he dropped his stance and asked him, "who told you where I lived?" "I know some people", Chrollo said. " That's not a clear answer who was it?" "I'm afraid I can't tell you that." Chrollo said sitting down on a sofa.

Kurapika was pissed at his response, but decided to drop it knowing that he probably wasn't going to budge. Kurapika then took a seat on the chair opposite of him. "What did you want to talk about?" Kurapika said. "A little birdie had told me that you were looking for the scarlet eyes." He said. " Yeah, what's it to you?" Chrollo then said "Well I want to help you." Kurapika was in complete shock why the fuck would this no hearted douchebag want to help him. "Why?" Kurapika said curiously. "Why not? This seems exciting enough and it seems that your friends aren't around to help you, so what do you say." Kurapika thought for a moment what if this is a trap and he's here to avenge his fallen troupe members, but I also can't do this job on my own. Kurapika then got an idea he could use "The stake of retribution chain" which allows him to set 2 conditions to the other person and if the person breaks those rules the chain will crush there heart instantly.

"Ok I will allow you to join me, but on one condition." "And what may that be?" Chrollo said curiously and a little excited by the fact he would be joining him. "I get to use my stake of retribution on you." Chrollo knew exactly what he was talking about since he had used it last time on him so that he wouldn't be able to use nen. Chrollo thought it over for a second and asked him, "what conditions will be set." "The first is that you can not use your nen to hurt me in any bad way, and the second is you can not order any of the other spiders, or any other person in general to attack me or cause harm to me in and way. If these rules are broken then you will die instantly." Chrollo then nodded in agreement and allowed him to use his chains on him. Once Kurapika was done with that he then explained to him the plan for "Ningen hakubutsukan." Kurapika was kinda happy that someone had come with him on his journey even though he liked working alone. Maybe he's not as bad as he thought. What kurapika didn't know was that Chrollo was beginning to feel sorry about killing Kurapika's clan, so that's why he decided he would go along with him, but he wouldn't dare tell Kurapika how he truly felt, but instead keep it to himself.
