Chrollo x Kurapika (fanfic)

~Chapter 11~

~Chrollo's POV~

I watch as Kurapika had grabbed the eyes then I spoke through the earpiece and said, 'Hey Franklin we got what we needed....are the cops down there.' 'They just pulled up' 'ok well try to hold them out until we get out there then we'll make a run for the van' 'Sounds like a plan ok boss.' We all then head on back down the stairs back to the front entrance but were stopped when someone, a bodyguard, had stopped us.

"I am Reece a bodyguard of this establishment, now give back what you stole, and I will let you leave... if not then I will have no problem killing one of you.", he said his words very stern and clear. I stopped seeing as how he wasn't a normal bodyguard. Matter of fact he was quite powerful, his aura could make any normal person fall to there knees, but that wasn't the case for us as we could withstand this. I looked over at Kurapika who was basically analyzing the man just as I was.

~Kurapika's POV~

"Well sorry but that's a problem," I said. He looked over at me and I continued, "I don't want a fight you but since you are clearly not gonna let us leave we will have no chose but to use force." "Well, then I'll use every ounce of my power to stop you.",He said charging straight towards me at lightning speed. I was so caught off guard that I couldn't manage to block his attack.

I was ready for the impact, but it never happened. Chrollo had stepped in and blocked his attack. "Kurapika you need to be more aware of your opponent and when they are about to attack.", Chrollo said. "Wow I'm impressed Most wouldn't be able to dodge an attack like that so easily. You must be a very powerful opponent indeed.", he said while backing away from us. Chrollo said nothing at his statement and then while his eye was still on him said to me reaching out his hand to me, "Come on get up and be careful next time."

I grabbed his hand and got up. I was so embarrassed at this point I knew I would have to pay him back for that. I then snapped out of my embarrassing state knowing that our opponent was still right in front of us. "You are a worthy opponent, I guess you will be the one I fight.", he said. What does he mean by that-, I was snapped out of my thoughts by the man snapping his fingers and we were all of a sudden in an arena.

I was tied to a pole and Chrollo and Reece I think his name was were down at the bottom of the arena. I look to see where Hisoka and Machi were, but they weren't in here. I was so pissed right now my eyes were burning red and I was just about ready to explode on that bitch. I try my best to get out of the ropes, but then I heard him start to speak.

~Chrollo's POV~

I was all of a sudden I think teleported into some kind of arena. I scan my surroundings and there is no one here except for someone tied up to a pole. I squint a little more and my heart literally stopped it was Kurapika. I then turn to the person in front of me and wait for him to explain, my look basically saying everything.

He then snapped his fingers so there was a microphone in his hand. Then he snapped his fingers again and there were lights on in the room and people in the use to be empty seats. "What is this?", I asked very intrigued. He then snapped his finger again and then there was a very short man with a tux that appeared. He then grabbed the microphone from Rice I think his name was and began to speak. "Welcome to our battle to the death tournament." The crowd went wild and cheered as if their life depended on it.

"Death tournament??", I said confused. He didn't pay attention to me and simply continued by saying, "On my right, we have the one the only Reece Bridgman." He said and the crowd cheered. "And to my left, we have none other than Chrollo Lucifer the phantom troupe leader." They all cheered again.
How the hell do they know my name what the hell is this? "Nowhere are the rules. You will both be fighting until one of you has perished. If Reece wins he gets the pleasure of killing that Kurapika over there. If you win then you and Kurapika can leave. You will both be able to use your nen as much as you like. If either of you decides to leave the arena then your friend well more like lover will be burned alive by the flames connected to the pole."

He then continued by looking over at Kurapika saying, "And also Mr. Kurapika you will also have something to do and that is finding a way to get out of those ropes. If you can't manage to get out of those ropes by the time the fight is over then you will die on the spot, but Chrollo will be able to leave." He then looked back out to the audience and said, "Now with all that said let the fight begin."

I clenched my fist so hard I drew blood. I was on the verge of going berserk on literally everyone and everything. I calmed myself down knowing that it would cause instant death on Kurapika and me. I just had to hope that Kurapika could break free of those ropes before I was done, but right now I had to focus on the opponent that was right in front of me.

~Kurapika's POV~

Damnit now I seriously need to focus I am not dying..not here..not like this. I already knew it was going to be hard to get out of since I couldn't get out earlier. I start to look around me to see if there was something I can try using and....there was nothing. Ugh, you have to be shiting me, I thought to myself. I managed to calm myself down once I heard Chrollo say something to me through my head. Wait what the fuck how are you in my head., I thought to him. (If that even makes sense)

It's one of my abilities, but never mind that I want you to tell me once you've found your way out... I will hold him off as long as possible so you can find a way out of here, he thought to me. I was so pissed at that and immediately responded by saying, What the hell, I'm not leaving without you. I know that sounds corny as hell, but seriously I'm gonna stay right here until you tell me for a fact that your gonna leave with me. It's either we both live or no one does.

He stopped talk-thinking for a second and stayed silent then I heard him say, Fine. I then started to try and think up a plan on how to get out of here. Hmm, there is nothing up here except for me, this pole, and these ropes. Uuuugh this is so annoying., I thought. I can still hear your thoughts you know just saying. I really do enjoy your moaning and groaning, but could you keep that to a minimum it really messes with my head., he said to me. Oh shit, I forgot he was here why does he have to always be such a-, I stopped my thought immediately remembering he can still read my mind.

Hmm, what was that... no answer fine now I'll just have to get it out of you after we get out of here., he said-thought to me. I ignored this as best as I could and continued to look around more for clues. I look out into the crowd, and there's nothing. I then noticed how there's a billboard that has that short looking man on it smirking in my direction, and the sign read, 'The Amazing Battle to the death tournament usoyeg on yoepuror' The last little bit was in italics. That's must be it the way to get out, but how am I going to decode it.
