"Alright, that's it," Jamal said. We all stopped. "What," asked Sabrina. Jamal turned on me. "What happened back there," he demanded. Then he noticed my tears. His expression softened. "Hey man what's wrong,". I smiled. "Suess said my dad's still alive,". He frowned. "And you trust the traitor,"? he asked. I glared at him. "Can you atleast be happy for me. I mean my dad took you in," I shouted. he put his hands up. "Just sayin man, don't get your hopes up." "Why," I asked. He pointed behind me. I turned and froze. Hanging from a tree was a staff, my dad's staff. I leapt up and grabbed it. It shrunk into a wand in my hand. Carved on the side was Joseph Foxx. At that moment 3 devils appeared. They were 5/8 and pure black with dragon tails. And their teeth.... oh gods their teeth were horrible. "Dinner time," they shouted in unison. "Um maybe we should run," I said. "You think," Sabrina snapped. My dad's wand started to burn in my hand. I dropped it. "It began to grow until a tall black muscular man was standing in front of me. My jaw dropped. "Dad," I stammered. He looked at me with a glare. "Run now" he said. I turned and ran. My dad shot blasts of energy at the devils as they started to attack. He discentragrated each one of them. I stopped. I couldn't believe my eyes. I ran to my dad but he disappeared. A wand lay where he stood. "Nooo"! i shouted. " You didn't think it'd be that simple did you," a voice hissed. It was the overlord. "Where are you," I shouted my sword ready. there was no answer. "Don't ignore me," I boomed. I fell to my knees sobbing loudly. Dad, I thought. I was this close. I slammed my fist into the dirt. I noticed the wand was still there. I picked it up and studied it. Then I put it with my sword. I gritted my teeth. I turned to my friends. "Lets head to the Plymoth river," I said. I had 2 and a half weeks left to find goblins tower. Mom, Diamond, Emerald, I thought. I'm coming.
