Captain scarlet: We will destroy Unity city

A happy ending?

Captain Black, with Captain Scarlet in his power, is somewhere beneath the south Pacific ocean. The World Aquanaut Security Patrol is  called in to search for them - but even in Marineville there are agents of the Mysterons.
Unbeknownst to Commander Shore one of his officers is a Mysteron working under Captain Black.

Five hours after he had sent the message, the agent arrived in a stingray craft and he helped Black bring the still unconscious Scarlet aboard.
"You will head for the southern Californian space research station. Our agents have been told what to do" Black ordered.
"I understand" the Marineville agent responded.

At the Californian space research station, two scientists were going off duty.
"Alpha Centauri probe blast off now minus seven hours. All unauthorized personnel clear base" 
One of the scientists turned to his colleague,
"Well, Doctor, it's our baby now, we've got the base to ourselves" 
Suddenly the other Doctor bashed a heavy object over his colleague's head, knocking out cold.
The orders of the Mysterons will be carried out.

Some time later Captain Black headed ashore and brought Scarlet with him.
He carried the captain towards the space centre but was stopped by a guard.
"Halt! Halt, or I fire" the guard commanded.
"Help, my friend... a fishing accident" Black dropped Scarlet at the guard's feet and waited as the guard slowly approached.
"But... what the...?" 
At that moment Black struck.
The doctor watched on a nearby screen and then sent a telepathic message to the Mysteron agent.
"You have three minutes to get aboard. Then blast off - But not to Alpha Centuri..."

In another part of the base...
a soldier rushed to inform the base General.
"General! Two men just entered the rocket!" 
"What? Stop the countdown!" he exclaimed.
But it was too late, the rocket launched with Black and Scarlet aboard.

Moments later, the General spoke with White.
"... and since one of the men appeared to be wearing the uniform of your organisation..."
"Captain Black, it must have been! Lieutenant, get me Space Patrol - fast!"
Space Patrol interceptors are briefed by Colonel White,
"And it's certain that rocket's heading for Mars! Repeat, Mars! It must be destroyed"

On board the rocket, Black altered course.
Course change achieved - soon Scarlet you will be back under Mysteron control" he told the Spectrum officer.
"I wouldn't be too sure of that" Scarlet replied determinedly.

Suddenly the tail of the rocket exploded from the shells of an interceptor that had caught up.
"See what I mean" 
The Mysterons witness the destruction of the rocket.
Our Agent must be saved. Activate Retrometabolic Ray.

As the battered body of Captain Scarlet is retrieved from space...
"That... that rocket! It's reforming!" exclaimed one of the astronauts.
"All that stuff we were told about the Mysterons... I could hardly believe it - but it's true!"
Aboard the interceptor, Scarlet was made comfortable.
"The other guy's escaped int he reconstructed rocket!"
"Let him go! We'd better get this one back for treatment. He's still alive - just" 
"If he could survive that lot, he must be indestructible!"  

Cloudbase - Later that evening

Toshi sat in the officers lounge carefully cleaning her prized pocket watch when Colonel White entered.
"Colonel White..." the angel made to stand to attention but White halted her.
"At ease young lady, you're off duty now"
He noticed the watch in her hands.
"May I?" he asked holding out his hand.
Fantasy paused before slowly placing the item into White's palm.
"You know, I have seen a watch like this once before, where did you get this?" 
"It was my mother's. She gave it to me before she passed away. You said you've one just like this but there's only two of these in the world. One belonged to mother and the other - to my father"

Mars

When Captain Black returned to the red planet he immediately headed the quarters that had become his home.
He gently removed a gold pocket watch from his jacket pocket and opened it up, allowing the beautiful melody to play before taking in the photo of the oriental woman stored within it's lid.
At that moment, Helga entered breaking his revere.
"The elders wish to speak with you Captain" 
She took in the watch and smiled slightly.
"What a lovely watch" 
"I had it made for my love before I left to fight for the British civil war" 
Black smiled sadly as he pictured the face of the young angel he encountered on the beach.
Sorry I don't know your name, but I hope we meet again... when this war is over - my daughter.
