To her relief, Rhapsody found that her eject button still worked and she was able to escape before her interceptor burst into flames.
As her parachute landed her gracefully into the sea, she pondered what had just happened,
I'm sure it was Captain Black who shot me down. If only I could warn Cloudbase.
Clinging to her portable airbag, she saw an interceptor in the distance.
An aircraft - here! It must be Destiny come to look for... wait a minute - it's my aircraft, and it's heading for Cloudbase!

Some way off in the Australian outback, 24 year old Phillip Machin was checking his watch when the SPJ arrived.
"Right on time" he murmured.
The ramp lowered and a young woman with strawberry blonde hair stepped out to take his case,
"Lieutenant Teal?" she asked flashing him an attractive smile,
"I'm Lieutenant Mint and I'll be escorting both you and Fantasy Angel to Cloudbase"

Phil grinned slightly. He knew Lieutenant Mint very well, her real name was Carrietta White and they had been dating for almost a year now. He could think of no one better to be with.
When he entered the plane he noticed a young oriental woman sat by the window.
She looked up from the magazine she had been reading and nodded politely,
"Hi"
"Hi" he replied sitting opposite her. 

"Lieutenant Teal"
"Fantasy Angel"
An awkward silence followed and Machin found himself struggling to keep conversation flowing.
"What your real name?" he asked,
"Toshi, Toshi Kuro"
"Phillip Machin" he extended his hand and she shook it with a slight smile.
"Do you have a family, Lieutenant?"
Phil paused at that question, he was more than happy to talk about his father but if she asked about his mother...
"I've got a father"
"And your mother?"
Machin scowled,
"She's dead to me"

At Cloudbase Scarlet and Blue were preparing to leave in an SPJ when the Colonel spoke over the radio,
"You are in charge of the defense of Unity city, Captain Blue! Good luck to you and Captain Scarlet, I think you'll find Both Teal and Fantasy to be a handful!"
The SPJ took off and Colonel White watched them go,
The new Angel is so much like you, Conrad. Just as stubborn, just as determined and she even has a hint of arrogance.

The SPJ was airborne when Captain Blue noticed the rogue Angel on the horizon.
"One of the Angels is returning"
"They must have run into some trouble" Scarlet agreed,
Suddenly he felt a headache pounding in his temples and he pressed a hand to his forehead when Blue saw him.
""Scarlet! What's wrong, what is it?"
"Nothing... I... I'll be alright"

But Captain Blue remembered how Scarlet was killed for the second time. It was Blue who fired the fatal shot that had sent the Mysteronised Scarlet plunging 800 feet to his death. Yet when Doctor Fawn examined him...
"It's incredible, Colonel White, Scarlet should be dead but he's actually getting better!"
Colonel White was sat at the officer's bedside,
"You're sure the fall broke the Mysteron's hold and that he's back under our control?"
"Positive, Colonel! not only will Scarlet work for Spectrum - but he is also practically indestructible!"

Blue looked at his friend and field partner,
"Ever since then, you sweat and sway whenever you come near a Mysteron"
Scarlet nodded gravely.
"I know - that's why I'm ejecting you!"
Before Blue could protest, Scarlet pulled a lever and the blue Spectrum officer was ejected.
"I'm sorry, Adam, but I've got to get to that Angel craft!"

Captain Scarlet began a game of cat and mouse with the aircraft. He tried to shoot it down only to miss each time,
I've got to ram it! he realized.
As his plane hit his last thoughts were,
