Captain scarlet: We will destroy Unity city

The new recruits

Cornwall, England

SPV number 7 raced through the rocky mountain as Captain Scarlet drove towards the vast ocean.
"Spectrum persuit vehicle 7 to Angel leader, I'm heading 200 miles west of Land's end. Clear the area of shipping, the H bomb is due to explode in half an hour" Scarlet announced over the radio.
"S.I.G. Good luck Captain Scarlet and whatever happens now, you have saved London from being destroyed." Destiny Angel replied in her French accented voice.

Scarlet smiled grimly, the Mysterons had attempted to destroy London with the H bomb and a Mysteronised police officer. Luckily Spectrum had found out about their plot and foiled it. The rest of his thoughts vanished as the SPV splashed into the sea,
"Selected area reached, I'm ejecting now"
Just as Scarlet shot into the sky, the bomb went off and Paul Metcalfe felt a burning sensation fill his ejector seat.

Mars 

Deep in the bowels of the Mysteron city, the Mysteron computers were making plans.
"CAPTAIN SCARLET HAS FOILED OUR ATTACK ONCE MORE, WE MUST PROBE THE MINDS OF THE EARTHMEN, RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS WAR, TO FIND A NEW TARGET TO DESTROY"
Inside two transparent space capsules were Lieutenant Dean and Navigator Conway, their eyes were closed and their faces, expressionless. They were in suspended animation and had been for nearly 2 years.

Suddenly a bright light filled the capsules followed by a low hum. Dean didn't react, not a shiver nor a cry. But as the light's intensity grew, Conway gave a faint moan and stirred slightly. Nearby, from the shadows, emerged Captain Black a former member of Spectrum now the Mysteron's main agent on Earth. His skin was white as snow and his eyes were cold and lifeless.

He was still dressed in his black uniform and he held his cap in his hands. When he heard Conway's moan his eyes lost their cold expression and he approached the pod.
"Turn it down a little, you're hurting him" he ordered.
Black had known Dean and Conway ever since he joined the World Space Patrol when he was 32. 

The lights went out and a picture appeared on the large computer screen.
"That's Unity city" Black muttered, he wondered why either Dean or Conway were thinking about it.
"THISIS THE VOICE OF THE MYSTERONS, WE WILL TAKE REVENGE ON THE EARTHMEN WHO ATTACKED OUR CITY. IN RETALIATION WE WILL DESTROY THE WORLD GOVERNMENT HEADQUARTERS AT UNITY CITY!"

Cloudbase

Inside the control room, Captains Scarlet and Blue were with Colonel White and Lieutenant Green were discussing the Mysteron's threat.
"Destruction of Unity city at this time doesn't make sense, Colonel White" said Captain Blue,
"The place is deserted until the world senate opens again on November 10th" Scarlet agreed.
"The Mysterons always have a reason for their attack Captains - it's not our job to understand that reason but to stop them!" 

The Colonel then turned to Lieutenant Green,
"Lieutenant Green, launch all angels!" he ordered,
"Spectrum is green" he replied.
The Angels fanned out towards Unity city with Destiny as their leader.
Back on Cloudbase, the Colonel was giving orders to Scarlet and Blue,
"You will be field commander, Captain Blue! The Angels are already approaching Unity city!"
"Yes Colonel" Blue replied.

Scarlet was about to leave when the Colonel called him back,
"Captain Scarlet, I'm placing you in charge of the new recruits" 
Scarlet sat down at this news,
"Really Colonel, who are they?"
"Well, Fantasy Angel is that young stunt woman who tried to join the Angels a few months back. She made an official application and we needed another Angel and the committee selected her."
"And the other"
"Lieutenant Teal? Oh he's fresh from Koala base, You'll probably remember him Captain, his name is Phillip Machin"
The Captain was elated,
"Machin! Oh it will be nice seeing him again"

Meanwhile the Angels were en route to the city when Rhapsody spotted something ahead,
"Rhapsody Angel to Angel leader, there's an unauthorised aircraft on the horizon"
"Peel off and investigate" Destiny replied.
As Rhapsody drew closer she could see the pilot and she gasped in shock, it was Captain Black!
She tried to call Destiny to warn her of the danger,
"Rhapsody to Destiny... hello?"
My radio's dead! she realised.

In the enemy aircraft Captain Black prepared to fire.
He's going to attack... and now my guns are jammed too!
All other thoughts left her as a missile shot into the back of her interceptor!
