I woke because of the sunlight that passed through my curtain. I stood up & did my usual routine. Afterwards, I went downstairs & saw Dad making breakfast.

I hugged him from the back & mumbled a thank you. He laughed a little.

A random thought ran up to my mind to go to the park. I decided to listen to it.

"I'll just go at the park.", I said.

"Okay, be back afterwards.", Dad said.

I nodded & went out. I saw the park & remembered Haechan & I running around that park.

We used to play at that park.

"Whatcha doin'?", I heard Haechan voice out of nowhere.

I turned to his voice & saw him looking at the park as well.

"Oh, just.. nothing.", I said staring back at the park.

"Really? Nothing?", he asked me.

"Well, I just started remembering flashbacks after seeing that park.", I said as I smiled.

"Hmm... it was fun.", Haechan said.

"When you dressed up as an old man-", I said.

"HEY!", Haechan said, completely annoyed at me.

I just laughed as I ran back home & he chased me.

We both entered home & Dad handed out pancakes for breakfast. My eyes sparkled & the three of us ate breakfast.

"Wait, I said that to you?!", I asked Haechan as he said one of my secrets.

"Yeah, you even said that in the classroom.", Haechan said as he laughed.

"Change topic!", I said.

"The suprise will be later~~~", Haechan said smiling.

My eyes widen as I completely forgot about the suprise.

"I literally forgot about it.", I said to him.

"Well, one thing's for sure. You are going to love it!", Haechan said & gave me a finger-heart sign.

"Ugh, I am so curious right now.", I informed him.

"I'm so excited!", Haechan squealed.

A polaroid suddenly caught my attention. It was when Haechan & I got to play at the park for the first time.

My heart melted & I smiled.

"What is it?", Haechan asked looking the same direction as I did.

Haechan started tapping my shoulder, wanting to know what I was looking at. I quickly gave him a hug & whispered a thank you to him.

"Why so suddenly?", Haechan asked as he slowly hugged me back.

"For being my best friend.", I said hugging him tighter.

"You're welcome~", he said.

We broke the hug & I just smiled.

"So what time is my suprise?", I asked Haechan.

"At night.", he said, smiling.

"It's not bad.., right?", I asked him, feeling suddenly anxious.

"NO!", Haechan exclaimed.

"It's... more of a... no, I'm not gonna tell you.", Haechan said, changing his mind.

"Hmm... are we going to go somewhere?", I asked him.

"Maybe?", he said, not wanting to tell me.

I groaned & felt so frustrated.

Dad came & said that we was going to Mother at the hospital & asked if we wanted to join. We both agreed & went in Dad's car.

We waited for Mother to wake up. I just sat beside her & held her hand. I suddenly heard a soft 'Y/n'. I looked up & saw Mother smiling, feeling my presence.

I quickly gave her a hug & she saw Haechan as well. Mother suddemly signaled him to come to her.

I backed away to give them some space. Mother whispered something to Haechan which made him smile.

I felt so clueless about what they were talking about. After a while, we had to say goodbye to Mother.

We all left the hospital & it was already sunset. Dad drove us home & Haechan showed me car keys.

"What do you mean?", I asked him.

"We're gonna go somewhere.", he said to me.

My eyes widen & I signaled him a wait-I'll-just-go-and-tell-Dad. I quickly ran to Dad & said that Haechan & I will just go somewhere.

"Okay, you can go, but come back home as fast as possible. And also, stay safe from strangers.", Dad said.

I took my phone & nodded as I ran out the house & saw Haechan about to drive.

I quickly hopped in & he drive away.
