I'm sorry about yesterday ( Part 8 )

I sighed & sat beside him. I opened his coffee & we both drank it. We chatted for a while & afterwards, it was time for him to go.

I helped him go back to his home.

"See you tomorrow, bye~", Haechan said as he entered his home.

"Bye...", I said, almost whispering.

I went back home. I felt so bad. I'm such a bad friend. He said that he'll never leave me, instead I was the one who left him. What kind of friend am I?

I don't deserve Haechan to be my friend... I sighed & arrived home. I walked in & Mother put down our dinner. I saw my parents, waiting for me to join them.

I sat down & remembered when I was little. We cooked together, had fun, & dad got burnt. I smiled remembering the memories.

"Why are you happy?", Mother asked smiling.

"Well.., do you guys remembered when we cooked all together when I was little? Dad got burnt at that time...", I said showing a little smile.

They both smiled & Dad said, "I'd never forget that day"

Dad gave Mother a kiss on the cheek. I squealed as I felt the excitement of romance ran throughout my body seeing them.

I never knew why it made me happy when I see them loving each other. We all continued eating. Afterwards, I went to my room to finally rest.

I locked my door, lay down on my bed & looked at the ceiling. I smiled seeing the glow-in-the-dark stars I had in my room ever since I was little.

I turned over to my bulletin board & saw the picture of Haechan & I. I stood up & took off the thumbtacks that made it stick to the bulletin board.

I smiled remembering everything we did ever since we were little. My childhood was a million times better when Haechan came.

"What could I ever do to repay him...", I said as I smiled.

I put back the picture on my bulletin board & placed a thumbtacks on it to stay in place. I went back to my bed & looked at the picture from a distance. I smiled & finally went to sleep.

"So you're leaving..?", I asked him.

"I'm sorry...", he hugged me tightly & slowly let go of me.

My heart aching as he slowly disappeared from my sight. Tears ran down my eyes & sadness took over me.

I quickly rose up & felt scared.

"Haechan...", I said as I saw my door open.

Mother came with a smiled & said, "Breakfast's ready."

I quickly faked a smiled & stood up, going to the bathroom.

"Okay, I'll be there as soon as I'm done doing my routine.", I said as I ran through the bathroom doing my routine.

My dream kept coming up. Would he really leave me one day? I felt so sad.

I quickly washed myself & took a towel to dry myself. I wore my uniform, brushed my hair, took my bag & left my room. I went downstairs & saw Mother eating alone.

I was supposed to sit beside her until I heard the sound of our doorbell ring. I quicking found out it was Haechan, so I immediately opened the door for him.

"Hey-"

"No time, we didn't study yesterday.", I pulled him & he quickly groaned.

I quickly let go of him & mouthed a sorry. I slowly helped him sit down. I sat down as well & we ate all together. Afterwards, we left home & walked to school.

He can walk on his own now, but he would trip sometimes & quickly catch himself. I would sometimes quickly try holding him, but he was able to catch himself.

"I'm sorry about yesterday. I should've just brought you with me yesterday.", he said.

"It's fine. I'm also sorry, I should've done something instead of leaving you there with a group of guys about to beat you up.", I said looking down.

"I mean, it's better that I was the one hurt. You've already heard too much false rumors. You've been hurt too much.", Haechan said.

I kept silent because I was speechless at what he said.

He's right, I've been hurt too much because of all those false rumors & he wouldn't just let me get hurt like that.

I felt so happy to have a friend like him. I don't deserve him to be my friend. He's too good to be true. I'm so thankful I have someone like him.
