Yawns were constantly leaving my tired body due to the atrocious hour of the day they had forced us to wake up.
"Don't lay down, I know you'll fall asleep again." Emily ordered me from her bathroom as I had been hopelessly waiting for her to get ready for the past ten minutes.
"Hurry up then." I mumbled, not even sure those words were audible enough.
It took her five more minutes -during which I almost fell asleep twice- before finally announcing we could leave.
"You look awful." She said once she had closed her door, observing my face and letting me see how nice and fresh she looked. How unfair."You already said that two minutes ago asshole." I grumbled before we began to make our way towards the elevator, joining the few last students that hadn't left already.
Series of groans left my throat every time I would stumble on my suitcase or even my own feet. The second I stepped outside a harsh slap of coldness hit me right in the face, only making me groan even more.
"Walk straight." Emily instructed me after I bumped in her shoulder three times in a row out of tiredness.
"How can I? We both know I'm not straight." I giggled, behind the biggest dork ever.
I guess I just really wasn't in my normal state when I was tired so it wasn't helping either. The two zombies we were -just one zombie and a top model actually- got startled when voices called us way too energetically.
The French group was there, smiling and waving at us, all of them looking annoyingly good.Em' and I exchanged a surprised look before joining them, leaving our suitcases in the baggage hold of the bus.
For some reasons my feet directly drove me towards the more isolated person in this sea of people.
"You look like shit today." He teased me, earning a death glare from my side.
My attention lingered for a second on Emily happily discussing with her friends before they went back to Théo who had been staring at them as well, already looking nostalgic of the group we had formed over the past weeks.
I stretched and released another yawn while asking: "What are you doing here that early?"
"Our parents wanted us to buy a baguette."
Completely off I gave him a slow nod, before understanding how ironic that sentence was.
"I just wanted to say goodbye." He ended up confessing, now looking at me, soon drawing a disgusted grimace as he remarked for the second time how dead I looked.
"Aww you came only to see my awful face, how cute of you buddy." I exclaimed, gently hitting his shoulder with my fist.
"You're gonna be bored without me."
"Are you kidding? I'll savour every second without you and your painful jokes."
When he rolled his eyes I understood maybe I was being way to unfriendly with him. After all he really had participated to make this trip unforgettable.
"Okay I might miss you a tiny bit from time to time. Not gonna lie, I kinda wish I could take you in my suitcase."
"Well because you're in a girls school then I'm totally in." He joked, waving his eyebrows again.
As I was trying to hold them on place with my fingers glued to his forehead our head turned towards the teacher calling us back to the bus, asking us to say goodbye quickly.
