Percy

Harry and I run back to the common room and don't even stop to say anything to Ron or Hermione. We run up to the dormitory and Harry grabs his Nimbus 2000 broomstick.

As we turned to leave, Ron and Hermione were standing in the door way.

"Is everything ok?" Hermione asks us.

"Yeah everything is great." Harry tells her, "Why do you ask?"

"Oh only because you guys spend like over half an hour talking to Professor Lupin then come racing in here like mad man!" Ron exclaims.

"I totally won by the way," I tease my brother.

"Oh yeah sure," Harry says while laughing.

"So what did Lupin want?" Hermione questions.

"We'll explain on the way. Percy is about to practice flying." Harry tells them as we make our way out of the common room.

"So you guys saw how he stoped Harry from facing the boggart?" They nod, "Well he thought it was gonna be Voldemort," Ron flinched slightly.

"But it was going to be a dementor," Harry continues. "Lupin just wanted to explain that to me."

"And why Percy?" Hermione asks.

"Cause my boggart freaked me out more than it did other people so he was making sure I was ok." I tell them.

"Why did it freak you out so much? Who was he?" Ron asks me.

"He was Luke" their eyes widen (I told them ab what had happened with the lightning bolt already) "yeah but the weirdest part is I had just had a dream before class that he was like a host for Kronos or something. So that's what I saw."

We walked out of the castle and followed Harry to where they keep the school brooms. He grabbed one of the nicer ones and handed it to me. He also got a red ball about the size of a soccer ball.

"Good luck Perce!" Hermione tells me as she goes to the stands and Ron Harry and I go onto the field.

Harry starts explaining how to summon the broom (just say up, wow.) and mount it and yada yada yada.

Then I was in the air.

Little freaky.

Not gonna lie, might of screamed just a bit when the broom lurched the first time.

My friends laughed a bit and I level the broom. Harry and Ron (who had also grabbed a broom) gave me some more instructions, but I wasn't paying that much attention.

So they start flying around and I kinda mimic them, but like it's pretty easy after getting over the original shock. I make myself go higher, up to the level of the stands where I assume the game is played. I circle the field (I actually oval it bc the field is an oval). I take in the lay out, and the places in the field that would be less likely to get surrounded.

I sped up slightly, and then stop abruptly and turn so I'm perpendicular to how I was going.

I fly towards the goal posts and weave between them, then race as fast as I could manage to the opposite end of the field, and weave through those goal posts. Then I fly over to where Ron and Harry and flying next to Hermione.

"Bloody hell Percy! You sure you've never flown before?" Ron exclaims.

I laugh and shake me head, "Never!"

"It's like you Harry. You hadn't flown but pulled off something amazing our first lesson," Hermione comments.

"So you want to practice with the ball now?" Harry asks me.

And so we practiced.

Ron played as keeper, Harry and I chasers. It took me a minute to get used to playing with the ball while still maneuvering the broom, but I figured it out pretty quickly.

We played with Harry and I on the same team, both trying to score. Harry on Ron's team, trying to keep me from scoring. And me on Ron's team, trying to keep Harry from scoring.

I have to admit, I'm not to shabby.

When the sun began to set we all landed and started heading back to the castle.

"You were great Percy!" Harry tells me.

"Honestly Harry he's a better chaser than you," Ron says while laughing.

"Well good thing I'm seeker," Harry retorts.

"You were a good keeper Ron. Why aren't you on the team?" I ask.

"The current captain is keeper," Ron says. "No ones gonna replace him till he graduates."

"And he's a 7th year now so maybe next year," Hermione says reassuringly.

"So," Harry starts, "you are gonna try out on Saturday right?"

I nod, "Yes but you better not try and pull any stings to get me on the team. If I get on the team I want it to be because I earned my spot, not because my brother got me on the team!"

Harry throws his hands up in surrender. "Alright!"

"Don't worry Percy. You did excellent today, you should be able to get on the team without anyone's help." Hermione tells me.

"Well I'm not gonna get my hopes up because I have some of the worst luck in history but thanks guys. I really had fun today." I tell my friends as we walk back to the castle.

"Since you all spent this whole time practicing, you still have all your homework!"

We all groan but head to the dining hall.

I follow Harry over to a boy that I had seen in the common room but didn't know.

"Hi Oliver," Harry said as he sat down next to the boy. I sat on Harry's other side while Ron and Hermione sat across from us.

"Hiya Harry! How's it going?" The boy I assume is Oliver Wood asks.

"Good. I just wanted to introduce you to my twin brother Percy. He's going to be trying out for chaser on Saturday," Harry leans back some and I reach across him to shake Oliver's hand.

"Well if quidditch runs through you blood like it does your brothers then we will have a place for you!" He tells me excitedly. "I'd choose a toad for the team if it meant we win the house cup!"

"Well from what they tell me in pretty good," I say casually.

"Pretty good?" Ron asks. "Mate you're brilliant! Honestly no one else stands a chance! With you on the team Gryffendor has the cup in the bag!"

I feel my face heat up, but cover it by taking a drink from a near by goblet.

"Then let's say I'm looking forward to Saturday even more now!" Oliver tells us. We all laugh then excuse ourselves and move over toward Ginny and the other third years.

My friends look proud of themselves when we sit down.

"Oh don't act like I don't know what you're playing at!" When they all look at me all innocent I laugh. "Harry introduces me as his twin so he thinks family. Then Ron carries on about how "brilliant" I am? Seriously guys, I know you were trying to get his expectations up so he'll be more likely to pick me!"

Harry smirks, "You said no pulling strings. Never said I couldn't just talk to a friend about my brother's new interest. "

"I hate all of you," I tell them although it probably wasn't convincing since I was laughing.

In sinc, they all look up and say "Love you too!"
