DECEMBER 30TH 1891

you were on the hospital bed, the IV needle in you. you were finally giving birth to your son.

(im sorry, i won't be writing the labor procedure being all "push! push!" that kind of stuff. im not that comfortable writing it and idk how birth works so yeah teehee)

after hours in labor, the doctor finally said something.

"December 30th, 1891 at 5:56 A.M. a beautiful baby boy is born" the doctor said before you could hear the cries.

"he's so beautiful. he looks exactly like you. what should we name him?" you said, holding your child.

"hmmm..what do you think about taehyung?"

"that's a good one. Prince Kim Taehyung"

~few minutes later~~

it was only you and jin in the room and you were discussing about jin being executed.

"are you sure you can handle it? it's happening this noon" you asked holding jin's hand.

"of course don't worry about me. just take care of taehyung and yourself. i love you" jin said giving a peck to your lips.

you slept in his arms that early morning.

~noon~~

you woke up, the anesthesia started to wear off so you started to feel sore. you were still in the arms of jin. you couldn't move in any sort of way. you were too deep into your mind that you got startled the door being opened loudly also making jin wake up.

"get her" the king said as guards were going in the room.

"wait..her?" jin asked, obviously confused before you were taken away from the room.

*flashback*

"are you sure about executing jin?" heather asked.
"he's the next line to be king. why would we kill him?"

"yeah she makes a good point" the queen added.

"so do you think we should execute athena instead?" the king asked recieving nods.
"what's our plan?"

"i think we should wait until noon, the guards will barge into the room and grab her and bring her into the coffin" heather said.

"that's a good idea. but they can't know"

*present*

"please let go of me" you shouted but you were too weak to even move.

"athena i am so sorry" the guard who has helped you, your entire life. even helped you and jin send letters.

"dad why are you doing this?" jin asked, obviously furious about you dying instead of him.

"it's official. we're executing athena, not you. you will be the next king and athena is just a gardener" the king said.

"no please don't do this. i've never done anything wrong" you exclaimed, tears streaming down your face as you were being placed in the coffin.

"athena, i love you" jin managed to say between his sobs, being held back to refrain him from getting closer to you.

"i love you too so much with all my heart. please take care of taehyung for me" you said before being trapped in the coffin.

"let's bury her now" were the last words you heard. all you could do know is just scream and cry. this is it. it's over.

KIM SEOKJIN POV

you couldn't believe what you were seeing. the person you loved the most was being executed by your own family. this is it. it's over.

you could only hear her scream for help and her banging the coffin. but they just buried her alive. all you could do is just watch.

minutes have passed, her cries were starting to fade, the slamming were turning to weaker punches. until it fell silent.

that's when it hit me. she's actually gone. i just stood there in shock, until another incident occured.

"seokjin, adeline is missing" my brother said.

i ran to my room to find a note.

hi, we have completed each other's mission right? we finally have a child. i'm sorry i couldn't be there to help you. but if you need me, i'm just a town away.
