there's no way that my mom is aubrie. that can't be. my mom died when i was born and plus, if she was alive she would look a day over 40. so i just discarded that idea.

"hey taetae" aubrie said skipping to me from across the hall like a little child
"you like the new nickname? anyways, i forgot that we had homework for english and you know that i'm not that good at english..so can i copy from yours?" aubrie asked holding up the homework with no answers.

"no, you need to actually listen to the proffesor" i chuckled out to seem less mean.

"please, i promise i'll pay for lunch" aubrie pouted out (doing the 🥺 bc y not)

i can't deny her cute little pout.

"sure. just change up the words a little" i said giving her my homework

it's been months and my feelings for aubrie grew rapidly. she told me that she likes me too but we haven't done anything after that.

so i thought i would make a move.

"aubrie?" i said before she hummed in response.

"are you free tonight?" i asked
"yeah. what do you want to do?" she responded

"do you want to go to a café so we can study? like a little study date"
"are you asking me out?" she said. i swear she can read my mind but before i could repond she agreed.

"sunset, the café near my house" she said as she kissed my cheek before going to her class leaving me dumbfounded

we were sitting on a high chair, watching the rain hit the windows as we do our homeworks (maybe soon later tae can do me ;)

"what's 34^2-30^2?" i asked

aubrie stared into the ceiling, writing numbers in the air until

"it's 256, now that i helped you..how do you pronounce isthmus?" aubrie asked

i wrote on another piece of paper

i watched her write the word on her sheet. the way she bit her lip and how she was so focused made me want to just pin her down and shower her with kisses.

but anyways, this was our daily routine. i help aubrie with english while she pays back with solving my math equations.

"so are you planning on doing anything this mothers day?" aubrie asked that made my stomach drop by the thought of my mom.

"my mom actually died when i was born. she was executed for being the prince's mistress" i said.

AUBRIELLE ARDEN POV

im so sorry. i wish i was more careful

"oh im so sorry, forget i asked" you said

"aubrie, i like you a lot ever since the first day. will you be my girlfriend?" taehyung asked making your heart beat out of your chest.

"i- of course!" i said as i pulled him in an embrace and gave him a peck on the lips.

"you know, you should come over to dinner tonight" taehyung said making you stop between your tracks.

"have dinner with the king? no way im just a duchess"

"but you're a beautiful duchess. you remind me of my mother everyday" he said as he cupped your cheeks with his (LARGE ASS 20CM) hands and gave you a quick peck.

let's hope he doesn't know that i am

"i told you already. i can't" you said almost on the verge of breaking down to think about seokjin's reaction if he saw you.

"pretty please.. i want to show my dad the person i want to marry"

i can't deny his pout. he definitely got it from his mother

"okay. fine i'll go"
