Ravela attempted to dodge my strikes, but each one tore into him. Cuts and gashes oozing from the relentless slashes I made. I kept pace with him forgetting about the five talons who would not stand for this. They all tried what they did back in the ebony palace. I grinned. I jumped over them.

The Old Crow still in shock stared at me. His eyes searching me over like he missed something that had changed. "You should not be able to even leave a scratch." He muttered.

However, Zazi drew his long sword. Like before, he stood in the way.

I did not wait for him to lunge at me. I unlocked the full core of my arsenal. The ground tore up around us. The tiles crunched into powder while I sliced through his sword. The other half of his blade skidded away from him. His eyes widened.

"I warned you before, I would tear it in two," I said when I strode past him. "You are the most pathetic scum to believe your king gives a damn about you. Monsters are in you and if they win, you might as well plea to the reaper to smite you."

The Old Crow is not anything but a monster who walks around in human flesh. I walked up to the other four talons who seemed uncertain how my power outdid their captain's.

"You cannot push this for much longer, Your Highness." Ravela sputtered. "Whatever you are doing, it will not last for much longer."

I smirked. "Oh?" The heat inside me burned. I glowered at the crippling fool who thought this was going to be like all the other times. The Old Crow picked a fight, so I am finishing it. "This world doesn't need magic, and it sure as hell doesn't need you!" I sprang into action only to get hit from behind by Issara with a dagger. It dug into my shoulder, but it turned to ash. I trained my eyes on her and the defiant gleam in her eyes told me everything.

"Go to hell yourself!" Issara announced.

The others came out to play with the Prince of Wolves. Let's see what you idiots got.

"Jaiden heads up." Kay leaped into the middle. "Got your back, leave blondie over there to me."

"Who are you calling blondie, rat?"

Kay glared at Issara. "You mess with Jaiden, and we'll take the reins on you lot. Lady, you have a temper when it suits you but don't think for a second this rat can't make you regret throwing a dagger. I have a name." Kay teleported next to her. She was stunned. "I have a gnat for watching his back better than anyone here."

I smiled. "You should say that about Simon." I quipped. I refocused on Ravela. He stood while Mesmer attempted to close the wounds I inflicted. I sauntered up to him. "Now who's scared."

Ravela gently stopped Mesmer from healing him. "I will admit you have grown, but there are limits to magic. The amount you are expending will catch up to you, Your Highness."

He was right, but I possess magic enough to end this here. I strolled up to him. "I have but one thing to say to you," I paused far from his reach. I continued to speak, "You want magic to come back to this world, but I have seen this world was better without it. People don't need to die because you hate the world for taking magic from you. I would sooner destroy all magic than to destroy those who don't possess it."

"If that is what you believe, Your Highness, then you will find nothing in this world will remain at peace. Magic balances everything in this world such as the Maidens and me." Ravela summoned his lightning around him and surrounded him in vibrant streaks. "You are still too naïve to understand something you have forgotten about me; you do not know me. I know you, and what you find yourself unable to come to terms with." He flashed his lightning in my face and then I felt him clutch my neck in his grip. He squeezed my windpipe shut, but I cried. "You of all people should see what poisons this world is not magic, it is those who take from the strong."
