Chanel followed the one night stand with her eyes as he passed her. Then, when he was out of sight, she returned her attention to Candy.

"Quicky in a bookstore?" She laughed. "You've literally done it all."

Candy scoffed, "I don't know him, but I hate him." Then she stomped up the stairs back to the main event.

Chanel twisted her face in confusion and went back upstairs to where guests were now mingling amongst each other to socialize and network. It was still an industry event, just one that was more intimate and less gaudy than usual.

"Chanel, here you go." Hodges said, handing over a hard copy of A Thing or Two.

"Oh, just what I wanted boss." She said sarcastically which made him laugh as he pointed to the book.

"You're the brains of Doll House, I thought you would appreciate it."

"I would appreciate a gift card to this bookstore. Or just a stronger drink." She grinned.

Hodges nodded, "I'll cover the gift card." He took the wine glass from her, "The drinks are over there."

Chanel went to the furthest end of the room where a small group of people stood around the minibar to order the only remedy to a drab event such as this one.

Sure a book that highlighted the secrets of the porn industry during the 80s was meant to be an interesting subject, but it wasn't exactly a Doll House type of event. The dolls preferred being the center of attention or at the very least, being in a place where they could act licentiously. This felt too tame, even for Chanel who was a bit more practicle than the other girls.

"Get her a shot of tequila." Someone said on Chanel's right, causing her to look at the culprit.

"No, I don't want-"

"Make it two." Someone now said on her left which made her switch her glance.

"Would you rather stay bored or have fun?" The guy on her right said and winked which made her look between the two men and step back from the bar.

"I think she's fine with being boring." The guy on the left looked over his shoulder. "Just give us the two shots."

"I'm not boring." She pointed between them. "You're twins."

They both had the same length blonde hair so as Chanel looked at the two she realized that the one on her right had on a patterned bow tie and the one on her left had on a dark green knit tie. That was the only difference she could see between them at the moment.

"We are." The twin with the knit tie stepped forward. "Can we trust you with something?"

"Uh I don't know. What is it?"

"In about three minutes there's gonna be minor chaos in here."

"Why?"

The twins exchanged a mischevious look. "We decided the hors d'oeuvres needed some-extra spice."

"Ghost pepper to be exact."

"You put-wait did you both-"

They chuckled then the one closest to her winked and whispered, "Don't eat the fish cakes."

They walked away as Chanel looked back to follow their strides but was instead distracted by Hazel and Ivy who stood together and reached for a tray that carried fish cakes through the guests.

"Shit, don't eat that!" Chanel hurried to them and smacked both of their hands, causing the food to fall to the floor in an exaggerated display.

"What the hell Chanel!"

Chanel looked up and noticed that half of the room was looking at her. She gulped from embarrassment but then noticed the twins nearby, trying to shield their laughs as she made a fool of herself.

"Excuse me." She said to Ivy then turned around and walked out of the bookstore to recollect herself outside.

The boys were quick to follow with amused expressions on their identical faces.

"So your name's Chanel?"

"Leave me alone." She said. "That was so unnecessary. Did you even put something in the fish cakes or did you just want to fuck with me?"

"We just wanted to fuck with someone." The twin with the bow tie shrugged. "That someone happened to be you."

She looked up at them then within a few seconds she slowly started to smile, realizing that the ordeal was actually pretty funny. It wasn't often that events like these were disrupted in lighthearted ways.

"Who are you?" Chanel asked them.

The twin with the knit tie pointed to her book then crossed his arms over his chest.

She examined the cover where a pale female's body was blurred below the waist. Two male bodies stood beside her and covered her breasts with their hands. The bottom half of their bodies were covered by the book's title.

Chanel nodded and put two and two together. Literally.

"You're models."

"Well, I wouldn't call us that."

Just then Flo poked her head out and waved to the boys.

"Axel, Ace we're taking a picture." She called before disappearing back inside.

One of the twins kept his eyes focused on what was happening inside while the other seemed to study Chanel quietly. She tilted her head and felt her cheeks turn rosy which caused her to look away.

"Are you staying out here?"

"Yeah, I think I'll just sit here for a few more minutes. Maybe everyone will forget the scene I just made thanks to you two." She partially joked.

"Well then, it was nice meeting you Chanel." Ace, or maybe Axel, said before both brothers walked back into the bookstore.

Chanel was suddenly curious about the interaction. Mainly because it had been unexpected and surprisingly entertaining. Who were they? And when would she see them again.
